Bay View Campground

On a Sunday evening around 7pm in early September 2024, my camper van lost all battery power while I was boondocking near the Cape Cod Canal. Knowing that I needed an electric hookup right away, I called this campground (not even sure if anyone would answer after 7pm on a Sunday night after Labor Day). I was warmly invited to come over, and I rented a camp site for one night. I plugged in to shore power. My batteries charged up. I was so grateful for their friendliness and hospitality. These folks were a life saver, and I look forward to a more leisurely (non-emergency) visit on the future.

We recently stayed at this nicely appointed campground for 6 nights. The campground is clean and well maintained. We had zero issues , with water, power, or our sewer hookup. We did not use any of the pools, but they did look inviting and clean. They also had a food truck on site with a nice menu. Our site was near one of the bathhouses in Oyster Cove. Staff were constantly checking it, and ensuring its cleanliness. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is because they wanted to charge $11 a day for the use of my own street legal electric golf cart. I do occasionally have trouble getting around due to physical limitations. I choose not to pay, and therefore did not get to enjoy many of the amenities.

We have been here now for 8 out of our 9 nights. The campground is extremely well maintained, the sites are beautiful and the pools/washrooms are very clean. We have met some amazing seasonal campers here as well. They were all so happy to offer advice on places to go and see in the area as well as restaurant recommendations. Every staff member we have encountered has been amazing and helpful. The location is fantastic, as it was an easy drive to Provincetown, Falmouth and Boston. We seriously can not say enough good things about Bay View. We will definitely come back.

So, at the recommendation of a friend, we booked to end the season. 1. The site. Nothing special. Dirt and gravel, but, roomy and a nice rustic stacked fire pit. No greenery to give privacy or seperation from the adjacent site. 2. No water pressure, but enough for general use. 3. It is a dog friendly park. I hold the dog owners primarily responsible for their dogs behavior; Badly socialized, don't bring them. However, the place is well staffed. Plenty of corporate golf carts around. Yet, I witnessed countless incedents of dogs wandering around, or walking with their owners off the leash, peeing on everything, and in 1 instance, had to go to the owner and show him where his dog had crapped. Bottom line: the time the staff had the biggest presence was check-out time. 4. Facility. Every time I used the public facilities, they were spotless. Always clean andvsmelling of bleach. Kudos for that. 5. My big peeve: We had friends come down and visit. They arrived at 6 pm. They were charged 30$. We immediately left in their vehicle to go for dinner. We returned at 8 (office closed) No 10$ refund for them. They left by 9. Still, this is gouging qt the max. Becayse of this, our friends (campers as well) will never consider staying there, and we will not either. Add to that, the power pole at the entrance was hit by a vehicle, and the power was down for the entire day. Certainly not their fault, but access to and from the campground was severely hampered. No recompense fir the inconvenience, yet our friends were charged 39 buckes to basically drive in, then out.

I LOVE this campground! Been twice now and both times were great! They have tons of activities going on, ice cream shop, arcade, everything is very clean including the bathrooms! They shut down the bathrooms a few times a day for a few mins to clean them and they are actually clean! I didnt cringe not once going. The pools are also super clean. One of the pools also has a lift chair for people with disabilities to lift them down into the pools which is awesome! Staff is always very nice and the other campers. I never heard/seen any crazy partying going on. The sites are decent size both Times we fit 2 BIG tents, screen house, 2 cars, plus the fire pit chairs grill, & still had room to move around and play. You get FREE WIFI and it actually WORKS. I could go on about this place lol. Definitely a GREAT place to take your family!! We will be going back for sure!

Worst campground ever visited!! I visited this place last week. They appointed us a place which was right next to the road, then whats the point of camping? On top of that there is no fire pit. Before our check out time they threw away all our important stuff including 2 iPhone chargers, extension cords, cooler filled with drinks, our unused wood, etc calling it a trash and the lady at the main office was so rude that she couldn’t agreed to their mistake and was telling us to leave. As well as we were not even allowed to talk at our campsite, they warned us thrice to leave the ground at night itself.☹️

Had a great time camping in the yurt with the family last year. Nice having AC and TV for the young kids who were new to camping. Had all the magic of campfires and s'mores, but then got some of the comforts of home still. We didn't realize you weren't supposed to have a structure on site and we had a screen tent around our picnic table, but nobody gave us a hard time about it, which was nice.

Having camped for years, BayView Campground is one of the top ten in our camp ground experiences. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The sites were well maintained. The bathrooms were immaculate. Cleaned 3x’s a day. Great activities were available for all ages.
