NillWe had a back in, full hookup site. The sites were narrow, but long. So there wasn't a ton of space between campers, but it wasn't bad because we had the space behind our camper. You need about 50ft of water hose. Beach and playgrounds were nice. Campground is huge. The couple staff members that we talked to were friendly and helpful. Decorations were cute. They had dance parties every night, but we didn't go, my kids would rather ride bikes. The website says NO electric scooters so my kids didn't bring theirs. But everybody had them, so next time we probably will bring them I don't think that rule is enforced. We definitely plan on going back.

NillNot a bad Campground if you have a Giant RV with full hookup, but if you expect to use their bathrooms, be prepared. The majority of stalls don't lock, doors are broken with holes so people can see you doing your business and cleanliness is nowhere near what I would consider acceptable. Much of the campground is nice, but if you can't even get your bathrooms to be reasonable, what are you doing?

NillTerrible! Checked into our resort cabin which was way over priced for what you end up with! There were qtips left on the bed area and floor, trash in the toliet, and hair and blue body wash left all over the shower along with a used bar of soap. We also made the mistake of turning the fan on when we walked in and had dust chunks fall from it! The cabin had an a/c unit put in the window that was not sealed properly so there was a draft and it was freezing at night. I'm well aware that the temps are colder now but didn't expect sleeping in a cabin to be like sleeping in a tent with a breeze coming through. When I spoke the very unhelpful lady at the front office, I was told the cabins get cleaned and checked but that definitely wasnt the case here. No one took responsibility for the issues and I was told "it's possible someone broke in and used the cabin after it was cleaned" and that "it happens all the time". After that, we were offered an air mattress for our troubles or complimentary firewood after paying nearly $250 for 2 nights. Absolute bullshit. The maintenance men were kind enough to come and take the a/c unit out so we wouldn't freeze our 2nd night but we decided to leave early due to the lack of customer service. We were told the supervisor would call us to discuss what happened but that call still hasn't reach us. Please do not camp here! If this review doesn't stop you, maybe the other 20+ reviews recently stating the place is "filthy, disgusting, and gross" will.

★I camped at Camp Dearborn 3 different times in 2024, and 2 of the 3 times included active hornet nests in the locations. ||The first trip with my kids, where nobody was able to sleep because there was a ground hog nest under the canvas tent and the animals were squealing all night long. ||The second trip was with my kids too, where we unpacked at night in the dark, only to find an active hornet's nest in the canvas tent. You would think for nightly price, the tents would at least be inspected before use. ||My last trip of the year with friends was in a modern cabin, where we also were greeted with an active hornet's nest and empty beer and pop cans inside the tent. ||For the rates you're paying now at camp deaborn vs. what they used to be, it's highway robbery. I've been coming here for decades now and it's the last year I will be coming unless changes are made.

NillWe had a 40 foot fifth wheel. Camper sites have cement pads the length of a camper and tow vehicle, are level and spacious. Our hookup to electric and sewer were easy and close. Good mix of treed and sunny sites for those needing access to satellites. Plenty of scheduled activities. My only wish is that there be campgrounds close to the city (Detroit).

NillI really loved the fact that there's a lake as well as a pool. I really thought our cute rustic cabin that we rented out for 2 days was exactly as described and very convenient to have the stove and mini fridge. However, I was a little disappointed that we couldn't check in until 3:00, The day is halfway over, by the time we're done unpacking and such night time. And sensor is a mandatory today minimum say which we have to pay for, and have to check out by 11:00 a.m. on the final day it's as though we really only have one solid day of fun time to play outside and be in the Sun. We wanted to do many more of the activities but I don't understand my checking can't be a little bit earlier. I mean, the staff comes to check and verify that we have already cleaned up the cabin spic and span at 11:00, therefore it should be ready for the next occupant by noon at the latest. I'm just saying, I would be much more inclined to come back if I could have an earlier check in for the at the rustic cabins at least... So there's more time to enjoy day late hours. Otherwise an overall great experience

★★★★★We camped in the fall, so the campground was fairly empty. We were staying over in order to attend attractions in Detroit, and it’s about an hour’s drive. The campground has five lakes, a pool, pickleball, tennis, basketball, paddle boats, and a canteen. We decided that we need to come back in the summer!

NillThere were only a few sites we could reserve online (in September), even though there were lots of empty sites while we were there. We were stuck near multiple noisy neighbors that were loud late into the night. Then garbage trucks came to empty the dumpsters by us at 4am. Barely slept.
