NillWe have been staying here for years and it’s usually a really good time. This weekends experience was quite different. The bathrooms were not kept and the staff isn’t as nice as they used to be. I will say the older gentleman at the store is still the nicest guy ever. Also, the arcade room doesn’t work and when it eats money they will tell you there is nothing they could do. That was disheartening so just a warning not to chance the game room!

NillBeware of bedbugs in the cabins! We had a great trip making great memories here! Unfortunately, we made some bad memories too. We rented a cabin here for the weekend. My wife and I woke up covered in bites. We checked our clothing and bedding and found bedbugs once we got home, after realizing these were not flea bites. I've never experienced bed bugs so I was ignorant to the signs. I called to report the incident and the lady on the phone just seemed rushed and bothered by my call. No empathy, no apology, no how can we help, just I'll let management know and have a good day. Our house is now to be chemically treated, our Navigator chemically treated and I am spending the day resisting the urge to scratch my bump covered body at the laundromat. Good day indeed. I hope everyone reading this has a better result than us, just wanted to spread the word so no one else has to experience this. The activities and location are great, especially trick or treating with the kids. I just can not recommend their cabins.

NillAfter our experience it is not what it was in the past. The manager screaming in a young womans face. Then approaching another with aggression. This is not what a family event should have been. Them being forced to leave after drinking. Packing up tents and whole families in a storm. (our group had a total of 7 sites over the weekend) Our annual family event ended in drama caused by staff

NillVery nice folks and shop owners. Very accommodating. They rent out bikes for kids, row boats, paddle boats, and a few other things for 8 bucks for a half hour, which I think is a great price. With how hot it was when we were there, it was very unlikely we would have lasted longer than a half hour lol. They were also more than willing to offer refunds, trades etc for when complications arose which affected our ability to use the amenities they offer. We traded one service for a bundle of wood which was actually very nice of them. The location was also perfect for beer runs and getting food, snacks, etc. And the park was very well cared for and hazards for kids were addressed very steadfast. Overall, even though the park was a little more kid oriented than I would have preferred, it was the time I got to spend with my family that was the most cherished part of our getaway. We will definitely be revisiting in the future.

NillStarting on a positive note, it was a fun time with my family. We didn't do much of the activities provided except fishing in the pond. The fish were small except for the catfish. Everything here seemed kinda run down. The dog park was overgrown and unkept. Everything was rusty and paint all over the park was outdated including the playground. It looked like there had been a second pond they let dry up and they just have it as a dirt pit now that has tiny weeds growing in it. Looks like it was once a beautiful campground that wasnt kept up. It was my first time at a KOA campground and I always thought more of them than what I received. Also the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner idk if it was just the crowd but women's bathrooms were a bit gross. Also the showers were a bit gross too. On another note security should patrol a little at night there were teenagers drinking and smoking weed all night long here disrupting everyone's sleep til 4am with the smell, non family friendly music and lots of raised voices. I'm not the type to be gutsy enough to say anything but someone should have stopped this from happening. I can't believe that many minors got away with partying at an establishment like this.

NillThe ground is hard, full of gravel and roots. Dumpsters right next to the site. The bikes and carts that are for rent are expensive. Security guard must of failed his test for the police academy because he has a power trip problem. The freeway is right next to the camp ground so lot's of road noise.

NillOverall I would say the weekend was a positive experience. However, with so many empty sites the weekend we were there, it would have been nice to be placed in a site that wasn't purely mud (many sites with grass were empty). The staff is extremely nice and helpful with anything you may need, and there are a lot of fun things for the kids like a playground, water slide, and basketball and volleyball courts. There were also activities throughout the weekend for the kids, and I believe they change it up a bit each weekend. Pets are allowed for an additional fee, and must be kept on a leash/lead. They do, however, have a small fenced in dog park area to let them off the leash and run around a bit. There is a snack shack they has free pancakes in the morning, and have various other offerings throughout the day like hot dogs and pretzels. Lastly, the swimming area is now just a big sand area, not sure if you're even allowed in there or not.

NillFirst time camping at this KOA. The cabin we rented was great. Clean, comfy. We got one with a bathroom. Had a shower and toliet. The sink was outside the bathroom like a mini kitchen with a microwave, dishes, dish soap, coffee maker. Beds were comfy. Air was nice. As far as things to do outside the cabin...it appears they filled in the water area they had other than a 3ft pool that looked dirty and a bit run down. We had a teen and were hoping to have at least the water available for swimming. They have an area for fishing. The area we were in was by the expressway but didn't bother us. Probably because the air. We were able to take our dog so that was a huge plus for us. I thin the campground could use some updates.
