The staff are incredibly supportive and helpful and genuinely nice who cared we had a great camping experience. Their willingness to help and truly stepping in to help set our travel trailer were above and beyond any expectations. Thank you for helping us have a great experience. Grounds were clean and well maintained. Staff was out on the weekend cleaning washed out gravel with brooms and not power equipment from previous night’s storm. They do this without power equipment so they don’t disturb us campers. Again, above and beyond.

Secluded Gem with Room for Improvement I recently stayed at Cedar Point Campground and enjoyed its peaceful atmosphere. The campground is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering a quiet and secluded experience. The abundance of shade was a welcome respite from the sun, and the boat launch was a bonus - much less crowded than other nearby areas. The swimming area was a highlight, with a designated roped-off section for visitors to cool off. However, the beach area could benefit from some attention - a fresh load of sand and fewer rocks would make it more comfortable for beachgoers. Unfortunately, the rocky terrain made it difficult for me to enjoy the beach, especially since I wear a larger shoe size (size 15) and couldn't find suitable swim shoes. Overall, Cedar Point Campground is a hidden gem for those seeking a tranquil retreat. With a few improvements to the beach area, it could be even more enjoyable for visitors. Rating: 4/5 stars Recommendation: Consider adding more sand and reducing the number of rocks in the beach area to make it more comfortable for visitors. Additionally, consider stocking swim shoes in larger sizes to accommodate all guests.

Grass: When we pulled up to the campsite we reserved, we noticed the long grass in all the primitive sites, but it was obvious all the other sites had been mowed. A primitive site means no water or electricity. Make sure to mow all sites to help visitors by decreasing the amount of ticks on the property. Fire pit: Some of the sites have their fire pit so close to the picnic bench that you may catch your screened tent around the bench on fire. Make sure to check that when you are determining which site to reserve. Bathrooms: The restrooms in the campground were not cleaned the entire time we stayed. Spiders were under the toilet seat lid and on the toilet paper dispensers. Plus, they were filthy! Showers: You are unable to adjust the temperature on all showers on the property. The showers in the campground area are so incredibly hot that you cannot even stand in the water to rinse. Use the showers in the beach/day use area. They are not scolding hot. Last time I camped here, the couple who ran the campground were on the grounds greeting, helping, and talking with guests. I did not see anyone like this the entire time I was there. That was a great feature I remember from my last visit. Please do a better job at keeping up your property for your guests and their children.

Great spot on Normandy Lake. Large, nice pull-through camping lots. |Quiet. Neighbors in the campground seemed laid back and family oriented. |Great view of the lake too. Plan to go back in May. ||The one thing I’d improve here is the bathhouse. Most campers here have larger rigs with their own toilets and showers. Great setup here for those. But smaller trailers like ours don’t include showers, especially, and we look for clean, up to date shower facilities. These are single stall shower rooms and the doors do not lock. The stalls don’t drain well either. But the water is really good and hot. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is this issue. Workable, usable but could use improvement. ||We planned to kayak but the wind howled all weekend. Just too much to venture onto the lake for a flat paddle. Hoping mid-May is a friendlier weather trip

We stayed at Cedar Point Campground for Easter Weekend. The campground is very well maintained and clean. The host are excellent and very accommodating. They hosted an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids and had an Easter bunny for the kids to take pictures with. We love camping here and have already booked several more spots this summer. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Love this quiet campground. However the bathroom and showers need serious attention and updating. While I was grateful for a shower, I couldn’t adjust the water temperature so it was very hot. There’s only an on/off button. There was water everywhere because the shower head doesn’t adjust either.

We stayed from Thursday till Monday in a Camper and had the best time of our lives. We celebrated our 20th Year Anniversary and had the most wonderful experience with new friends we made there and the most awesome people running it. Rick Sheley (the manager) Is amazing! He keeps the area clean outside and inside the bathrooms. His managing with his helpers have improved the area extremely. We made friends with the seasonal members that stay there a lot and they said this place has never been so good! Rick Sheley really made a HUGE difference in the way this place looks and the great service they offer here. They have a store that offers everything. The ladies and men that run the park and the small store onsite are amazing. Nice and professional. ||We will be staying here again for a couple of reasons. Because the location and service you get when you stay here and to see the new friends we have made here. It was an amazing experience! They had their first annual Memorial Day Fish & Turkey Fry with Crab Boil and sooooooo Much more food there with Amazing deserts! Music and Games for us to play with our new friends we made there. ||Ill end with this. Our 20th Anniversary couldn't have been better! Perfect way to celebrate our special day! Thank you, Rick Sheley and his great employees, for making our stay so wonderful. God Bless, Kirk & Amy Yates

The best view of any campground I have been to. Right on the lake. You can see the dam. The largest, roomiest campsites I have ever seen. I will bring my kayak next time. If they had sewer it would be perfect but it’s worth the sewer hassle to get that view and the large campsite.
