NillMy husband and I were passing through with our Motorhome and needed a few days rest, so we stopped here. There was no one at the gate, so we used the call box, and Mandy was there in a jiffy to check us in. I can't say enough nice things about Mandy. What a wonderful person. She helped us get settled in, from leading us to the dump station and then to our site. We had time to talk, and discovered her and her husband Matt have a farm. The next day Matt showed up at our site with a dozen fresh eggs. Is the park old, yes. Does it need some repair, yes. It's unfortunate that Thousand Trails doesn't realize that this park is a diamond in the rough, and invest in some repairs and upgrades. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and the beauty of nature, this is a great spot. The bathroom was clean, and it was cleaned daily. The staff here does the very best with what they have to work with. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

★★★It was the most quiet park I’ve ever been in. This park was at one time probably very busy. Most of the sites are over grown with grass and tree limbs. Most of the sites are 30 amp and water only.||||Since we were only going to stay one night they put us in a pull through site #1 which was pretty nice. It was so quiet and peaceful I wanted to stay longer. ||||When we walked our dog not one car or person came by. We were in Phase 2 and only three RVs were there in the 30 amp sites. The Tomahawk Lodge was disgusting and falling apart. The deck in the back was rotting away and so was the dock down by the water.||||This park has so much potential but I guess Thousand Trails doesn’t see it that way. Sewer lines would be a big improvement and so would paving the roads and Tomahawk Lodge. I would recommend this park for a few days.

NillWe stayed here as a Thousand Trails RV camper. The location is about 45 minutes south of I-40, yet just minutes north of the Mississippi state line in the rural area of south-west Tennesse. Even though our travels from Jackson, TN and I-40 were on state highways, they were 2-lane, yet wide enough to comfortably navigate. Surprisingly enough, there is a Love's Fuel station only 15 minutes away south of here in Mississippi!!! The park is old as all have "complained about". The roads are broken up asphalt and have small pot holes, yet are smooth enough for travels inside the park. It is in rural Tennesse......not downtown Las Vegas FOLKS!!!! They staff were very friendly and helped us with our simple overnight stop with a nice single full hook up site near the entrance. During our walk around this park which encompasses several hundred acres and a lake, we only saw one lady walking around. There were several dozen older campers in the park that appeared to be from other fellow campers. In all.....this is a low frills park. Its off the beaten path and on the way to no other place. Yet........its a Thousand Trails park and its FREE!!!! If you want a place that is quiet, in a rural area......this is your place. T-Mobile internet works ok, but we elected to use our Star Link.

Nill4 stars for now. But it will get better soon, I believe. I will be going back. The lady at the gate/ office was wonderful. She delivered our package to our site. She also allowed us to move around to different sites until we found the right one with seclusion and good amperage. It was a lovely place but a little rundown. The Tomahawk lodge was in renovations and couldn't go in. The other loge by the pool had new chairs but office like. Not comfortable. A lot of good water front/ views were too low of voltage to accommodate a 30 Amp vehicle. But I hope they will work on that, too. It's a large place and very walkable. But I wish I had an E- bike 😄. Showers were adequate. They did have 2 sections. One for showering and one for dressing. The laundry area was very clean and nice.

★★★★★We very much enjoyed our stay at Cherokee Landing. Mandy, Matt and Barbara were the most amazing camp hosts. Southern Hospitality at its finest. They make this park feel like a second home. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

★★The entry gate is problematic and doesn’t match instructions from 1000 trails. Various signs and phone numbers and a mechanical gate arm .(nobody in sight ). There is a closed metal box that we found out holds a radio handset to contact the office for admittance/ registration.||Sudden declines in our 30 amp hookup delivery was a big problem in nearly 100• temps . We had no ac for periods of time because of it . The property itself is very green and tree lined, but longtime neglect is everywhere . ||The pool was large and our salvation, but the bottom was flaking off everywhere . We could tell it was once a lively and thriving place, but now a ghost is all that remains . ||||Our advice is to take the more remote sites that are being reclaimed by the forest should be triaged and turned into a Tiny Home full time living area. If you had all that full time revenue than you could have funds to fix up all that’s been in decline . The road and electrical needs help . The tennis courts should be rejuvenated into pickleball courts .||We didn’t look in the rec center, but imagine it needs a lot of help . Town is quite a ways away so you have to make the destination fun and maybe bring in a food truck rotation .

NillI was a little worried after reading the reviews, but this was overall a nice campground. The property is pretty, lots of trees. If you have starlink, you may have issues, I know we did as well as our neighbors. There aren't many full hookup spots, but we got one so I was happy. Everything is old and a little rundown, but you can tell the staff care. The bathrooms could use a fresh coat of paint, but were clean. Staff are extremely nice and helpful, they don't charge to keep mail which is great and will even bring the mail to your campsite! Definitely remote, but we drove an hour to the Memphis botanical garden which I would highly recommend. Overall not a bad place to stay, we will definitely be back. I believe all the bad reviews are coming from people with very high expectations. It's a campground, not a 5 star resort.

NillThis campground is a beautiful campground we really enjoyed our stay the pool was a little old but the water was blue and clean and the facilities where clean too we my kiddos enjoys the park next to the play room they where all fighting over the manual excavator. The play room was great had most board games you can think of along with pool tables and much more to enjoy on a rainy day along with very clean restrooms. The staff was amazing they helped us pick a good spot then I made a wrong turn down a road they helped me out getting pointed the right direction. The bridge was great we got to feed the fish and turtles the kids loved it. They told us there was a canoe that you can use to go on the lake but we didn't have time to use it. There are lot of sites not usable (not sure the reason) but have a lot that are useable and the park was clean no trash that we saw it does have a building that is out of order looks like major damage done to it and tennis courts that havnt been used in forever but overall a nice clean friendly park
