Nueces River RV and Cabin Resort

Absolutely loved our stay! Ladies in the office were so nice and helpful. We got to swim and explore a lot! Most of the river was shallow but there were spots that were deeper than 6 feet you just need to know where to look. Dog friendly. Loved the easy access to water/electricity. We cannot wait to camp here again!

This was our second stay at Neuaces River. It is a beautiful camp and the hosts are very accommodating and welcoming. We stayed both times in the winter months, so a lot of the amenities were not available. Other than that we loved our stay there.

We tent camped 04/2024 Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean. The girls in my family were very happy with the individual restrooms, and that’s always a big plus! Great location on the river, with plenty of wildlife. Nice splash pad and pool, even a driving range! Truly a gem. You will not regret staying here. Camp wood is the nearest town (7 min drive) and has most things you’ll need. We will definitely be back!

Our experience at Nueces River RV and Cabins Resort was fantastic! The opportunity to rent linens and dishes made our stay even more convenient, and everything was spotlessly clean. Our cabin was perfectly suited to our needs, providing a cozy and comfortable home base for our trip. We especially appreciated being able to rent golf carts, which made transporting our belongings to the river a breeze. The crystal-clear river was a highlight, offering a wonderful spot for our family to relax and enjoy the natural beauty without the hassle of a long walk. Our kids had a blast at the pool and splash pad, both of which were well-maintained and clean. Traveling with a large party, we found the pavilion to be an incredible asset. The air-conditioned space, complete with a kitchen, tables, and chairs, was perfect for our group gatherings. Ms. Debbie, in particular, was a joy to work with. Her attentive and caring attitude ensured that everything was in top shape and that we felt welcome and well taken care of. Check-out was simple and straightforward—just return everything as we received it and drop off the keys at the front office. The entire site is beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our family time there. Overall, Nueces River RV and Cabins Resort provided us with a memorable and delightful experience. Highly recommended!

We brought our RV so we can't comment on the Rooms. They look clean and well kept from the exterior. We stayed here before when it was Big Oak River Camp and the new management has it kept wonderfully.

This place is a great getaway from the city! It’s family friendly, clean, and the staff is great as well. This is our 4th visit and we will be back again. We have stayed in one of the cabins twice and twice in a RV spot and they are both great. It’s a pretty tough 5 minute hike to the river but worth it because it’s not a public area so you have more river to yourself. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely love it here. Only thing is they could use some new shower heads. Also not a fan of how we can’t stay in the park to go the river after we check out. Check in is at 3pm by the time we unpack get settled there’s only a little bit of time to go to the river or use the splash pad because they close at 8 then check out at 11am and leave the park.

The camp grounds are excellent. The room was clean and service was excellent. River access was perfect with a shallow section to just hand out and a deeper section to float around better. A big plus was the golf carts rentals, they help us get around better. I am looking forward to coming back real soon.
