★★★★★Went for the air show. Great camping spots, very quiet campground. They have an on site bar/lounge to meet up with other campers. Shuttle service to the air show. Clean sites that overlook farmland. Easy access to the highway. We will be staying there again for the 2025 show

NillWe stayed this past weekend for my grandsons birthday. Everyone had a great time. The rec room we had his birthday party in was great. The kids played on the playground from the time they got up till little after dark . The staff are all very friendly and nice. We will definitely be going back

NillWe stayed for a long weekend in August. The grounds are well maintained and beautifully grassy, which is great for kids to run and play around in. There is a great “old school” playground for the kids, ours loved it! We did not use any of the showers or restrooms, so I can not comment on those, but it seems like the new owners are really working on improvements that were complaints in the past. The campground is easy to maneuver around in even with our 38’ motor home pulling a 26’ trailer! Camp spots were decently level and very spacious! You do not feel packed in at all. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and we would definitely book there again! My only constructive criticism would be just to update the website to provide a bit more information and photos of the campground. Thanks for letting us stay there!

NillWe were there for a week during the July 2024 Air Venture. The new owner was very nice and helpful. He took a personal interest in the visitors and talked about the improvements he plans to make. The power is perfect, all brand new dual 30 and 50 amp connections and very well done. Only a few spaces have sewer hookup but there is a nice central dump station with rinse. The water pressure is good but has extremely high iron content. The showers were actually clean but the iron content turned the white shower stall floors rusty red which made them appear dirty. If you shower with flip flops, they will be rust stained with one shower. If that were addressed, I’d give it 5 stars. Aside that, all the workers were very nice and the facility is well cared for. We really enjoyed our stay.

★★★★★Attended the Oshkosh Air Show. Hauled a 30’ trailer and stayed at the Circle R Campground for 2 nights. Had a spot with water and electricity. Great campground, exceptionally clean and quiet. Wonderful view overlooking a farm field, just amazing. They provide coffee and donuts in the morning and have a nice little bar to enjoy the company of the other campers who are in Oshkosh for the same event. The spots have more than ample space to park the trailer and truck. We will be back next year for sure.

NillIn area for EAA Airventure Fly-in. Pretty good location for air show. Shuttle to air show grounds a plus. Nice little bar on-site with very friendly people. Nice green grass throughout. Trees in older areas but not in newer areas. On the downside, the facilities definitely need repair and upgrading as does the grounds. Lots of depressions and pot holes that could use some filling. Bathrooms and showers are in really bad condition - should be torn down (before they fall down). and rebuilt. Not sure about the water either as we had some seepage on our hookup and it left significant rust colored deposits on our filter and connections - rusty pipes or high iron content water? We threw our relatively new filter away. The place generally just needs some serious TLC.

NillUpdate: The hot water system has been revamped, showers and bathrooms work with on demand hot water! There is also a washer and dryer. The new owner has lots of expansion plans, including replacing the bath and laundry rooms with completely new ones in the next few years, as well as putting in a swimming pond. Original: the only reason I rated the "rooms" lower is because the new owner has yet to update the bathrooms and laundry. The park is beautiful. Green grass, shade trees, country bar, playground. The new owner is upgrading continuously. The staff are great. Love the place so far. We booked for the season.

★★★★I have attended EAA / Fly-In / AirVenture EVERY year since 1981. ok - there was NO 2020||Had the luxury of a mother-in-law that cooked a tenderloin every night - queen Bed - FREE! Then they moved away and I've camped at Circle R for the last 18 years.||Sadly, ALL OF THE OLDER REVIEWS are valid but I emphasize, those are OLD REVIEWS from the old ownership. That's why I want to offer the current state of the NEW CIRCLE-R.||A new FAMILY took over for the 2022 season, and inherited the many challenges that existed. Quite frankly the place need EVERYTHING.||Question; how do you eat an elephant? Yup, ONE BITE AT A TIME.|The new ownership chose to completely overhaul the pathetic existing electrical system. All you need do is read all the horror stories in past reviews to get an idea of how bad it WAS. Old news.||To my delight, my new power pedestal now offers 15 - 30 and 50 amp service. This was the first time my power remained on the entire week since I began camping there. See my pics.| They also added NEW water supplies to the entire campground. The combination of all the water & electric utilities was certainly A HUGE investment, but is tangible proof that they are dedicated to the NEW CIRCLE-R.||They have expanded the Elect / water sites to the west and big rigs can angle /drive right in. They have added much road surface material to accept the heavy rigs.||The Campground office is remodeled and still offers the warmth of a typical campground bar. Yes, the same pizzas are there, modest drink prices and well behaved patrons* (excluding this author!)||They have even expanded their music offerings to include Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. For purposes of integrity, I disclose I play there on Thursday night.||So why did I give this 4-Stars? They still have more "elephant" to eat. The toilets were scary and reminiscent of the facilities in rest areas in the 60's. Showers were still rust stained when I departed last year. I plan to return this weekend to firm up plans for '23 and will update this review.||WHY SHOULD YOU CAMP HERE during EAA? |Each year the event draws 600,000 people during the week. Of those, 10% stay all week. Half are in hotels and rented homes while the other half CAMP!||Trust me, you do NOT want to be in the EAA campground - especially if it rains. |It morphs from Oshkosh to SLOSHKOSH!||If you do visit CIRCLE-R stop in on Thursday night for the LUCKY DOGS!
