Great nice and quiet campground. Its now a monthly and seasonal campground. We have camped here now for 5 summers. Some of the sites are shorter, but the owner works well with you to find a good site. Very nice pool, mini golf and a volleyball court. Plus across the street from the Yahara River bike trail.

We called for a last minute reservation and were told to come right in. We pulled in to one of the most picturesque campgrounds. The grounds are stunning, like camping on a golf course. We were only there for 3 nights but I could have stayed longer. The sites were gravel, level and extremely spacious. We had site #19. 50 amp service with no issues. Downside for some is no wifi or cable, but I don't go camping to watch TV or surf the Internet so for me, it was fine. We have our own wifi should we need it. The pool was beautiful with little spray fountains for the kids, and adults alike. It is located on a main road but set far back enough where we were not bothered by it at all. Convenient to dining and activities and Madison as well. I would highly recommend it if you want to relax.

What a little slice of heaven! Quiet, quaint, peaceful and safe! I couldn't be more thankful for our time at Viking Village! And if this beautiful campground isn't enough, it's run by one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. Sherry literally went out of her way to bring me a bouquet of flowers when she found out I had recently had a birthday. She cares so much for the people that stay here. This place is an absolute gem!

What a wonderful two months we spent at the serene, beautifully layed out Viking Village RV Park. The grounds were maintained, friendly staff and helpful too. The Owner is a wonderful, sweet person. We really lucked out when we found her place to stay at. Watching the wildlife included listening to the birds, is just a hint of our experience there. Thank you very much Viking Village. I'm not a person to ever say something was perfect but this lady has it figured out. It was perfect!

First, let me tell you about the positives. The people were nice--guests and staff. The grounds were well cared for and beautiful. It was close to fun stuff to do. The mini golf was great!||Now for the negative stuff.... The parking spots were tiny. I have a 17 ft. trailer, and it barely fit on the pad. The little parking spots caused the trailers to be very crowded together. Finally, the swimming pool was cold. It is advertised as being heated to 82°. The pool was no where near that temperature. There was no internet.||Overall, I this campground was just ok. If I were going back to the area, I would stay here again but only if I couldn't find something better.

Stayed only one night, but got the kayaks down and paddled the Yakara River, well a little of it. Algae growth all over it and shallow with tons of water plants. Not attractive. Nice early evening paddle though , light breeze.||Campground is well cared for, family fun stuff_ pool, mini golf, lots of room to run and play- or walk your dog.||Showers are fine, clean enough, good water pressure in showers. We had no voltage issues, everything was fine. Quiet on a weekend. not full but people there||Would go back if in the area again.

Stayed one night in Stoughton Wisconsin at Viking village campground. It is beautifully maintained with wide-open lawns for kids to play on in the swimming pool that looked like fun although we didn't try it. They also have horseshoes and miniature golf on site. |We enjoyed seeing two Sandhill Crane's at the edge of the campground. Driving into the campground is a magnificent row of trees on either side. Rather expensive compared to other places we have stayed with full hookups. But very nice.
