A nice campsite in a good location! The bathrooms are clean and have lots of hooks for hanging toiletry bags and etc; there's plenty of warm water. The campsite was clean and had plenty of trees.

We went here yearly for many years, skipped a few over covid and went back this past summer. We were so disappointed. We always rent cabins. The loft bed area had mouse traps left set up in in (where the kids sleep) and everything was filthy. The floor of the cabin was sticky and it smelled bad. We invited friends along and their cabin also was smelly with a sticky floor. All the ceiling fans were covered in a very thick layer of dust making them unusable. The inflatable in the pond didn't function and it isn't what is shown in the photo. Mini golf area was completely run down. It was so sad to see this place go sooo down hill after only 3 years away I hope they take this down season to really clean things up.

We love coming here to camp. We have used site 35 and love the layout. The owners are very friendly. The bathrooms are very clean and nice since they've been redone. The golf course is a little run down but it is still fun. I love how they have an indoor room with a closet with puzzles, board games, and outdoor games for guests to use. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back!

Wonderful staff at a cute campground. They keep a stock of useful items in the main building for very reasonable prices. Firewood and ice are available. We felt like guests rather than customers.

The owners have a very welcoming and warm presence and seem to be continually investing into the facilities and welcome center, which is gorgeous. They provide games and activities in the rec room, as well as a fairly maintained pool table. The campground was nice, quiet, and cozy, with a beautiful canopy of trees above providing shade. Bugs were very minimal, with a select few wildlife that poked around from time to time. We rented a cabin site, which was up to date with appliances, and overall felt nice and safe. The shower facilities/bathrooms seemed to be newly constructed and felt luxurious, but needs a few hooks/shelves for showering. Overall, my family and I had a great time staying here while visiting and exploring the island, and we will be back for more adventures with this campground as our preferred choice.

This is our favorite place to stay because it’s usually very quiet. We’ve stayed here about 4 times now. Never had an issue and it’s a great place to stay if you’re only doing a two day trip. Friends staff and lots of fun amenities. The mini golf course has definitely seen better days, but we laughed every time it went off the course. Can’t say much for the cabins as we’ve only ever tent camped. Plenty of restaurants on the island if you don’t feel like cooking.

My all-time favorite camp grounds. I been coming here for 25 + years. The campsites are in a wooded area, not some parking lot. They are flexible about many things other places wouldn't consider because its family owned. Security is great when it comes to nin-come-poops. My family's favorite camp ground.

This is our second year visiting Washington Island Campground and we plan to make it a annual trip for our family! Last year we stayed in a rustic cabin (toilet only) and it was perfect since we brought our dog along. Even though there was not a shower in the cabin, there was a main office area (where you check in) that had showers and toilets. We noticed this year the showers and restrooms were updated from the last time we stayed. We only had to use the restrooms while using the pond and were pleasantly surprised to find they were updated. If you are not staying in a cabin/RV with a toilet, there are also outhouses towards the back of the campground—they are exactly what they sound like super simple outhouse (think permanent port-a-potty) so if that’s not your thing be sure to choose a site close to the main office. This year we stayed in the Forest River RV. It was absolutely beautiful and well kept (see pics). The site was awesome—Definitely staying again!! [Note: dogs are NOT allowed in the premium cabins and RV—so our pup stayed with family back home this year.] Inside there were some provided pots and pans, silverware, a trashcan, broom/dustpan, and can opener/cooking tools. Our other family members also stayed with their kids in a camper site with their own pop-up camper. Some of the sites are close together, but we had nice camping neighbors so it was great! Our kids (ages 8-12) love this campground. It is super safe—the kids rode their bikes freely. Outside there is a basketball court, a swimming pond, a sand volleyball area, and a little mini golf area. The main office has board games, a pool table, and some arcade style games. Heads up: The cell service, especially data, is spotty on the campground and island overall. We didn’t have a problem using gps most of the time or making a call but text messaging and sending pictures was hit or miss. We brought cheap walkie talkies which was a great way to keep contact with each other on the campgrounds and doubles as fun for the kids. Washington Island Campground (and Washington Island itself) is such a beautiful place to stay!! Highly recommend!!
