Monte Verde RV Park and Campground

I stayed at Monte Verde Campground in Angel Fire, NM, for two nights with my family, and it was a fantastic experience! The campground was well-organized, clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful. Although my reserved spot was occupied, the manager quickly found us a larger spot with water, electricity, and Wi-Fi, which worked great. The bathrooms and showers were always clean, and since I was the only tent camper among RVs, they were almost always available. Plus, I could easily charge my Tesla using the 50A, 240v connection. Overall, a perfect stay, with excellent amenities and a great location. Highly recommend!

We booked the month of July 2024 at Monte Verde RV Park in Angle Fire NM. First impressions the spots are extremely close together, bring your own internet source, the Wi-Fi at the park is worse than dial up internet. During the time we were there we were not able to stream TV. The park is located where cell service is almost non-existent, so trying to stream over cell service was also useless. After we were there for a day, one of the 2 toilets in the restroom started leaking water on the floor, a lot of water. I texted the number we had for a contact because no one was in the office. Never saw anyone in the office the whole week. When we left the toilet was still leaking on the floor 5 days later after reporting it. We had to leave after a week to take one of our dogs to the ER in Houston. Also note there are several large unleased dogs that roam the property. One was aggressive towards our small dog. As I mentioned we had planned to stay for a month, so I had a Amazon shipment delivered to the Park office. We had to leave because of our animal emergency before the delivery arrived. I did receive Amazon confirmation of delivery. The OwnerManager has refused to forward our small package to us. I have repeatedly asked, and they will not answer. So be warned this is the kind of people who are running Monte Verde RV Park in Angle Fire NM.

Beautiful location and good price but check-in assistance was nearly nonexistent. Never received bathroom codes or wifi. Had to ask the neighbor. Bathroom was okay but did need a good scrubbing. Very pleasant stay except for lack of customer service.

No one will answer phone or call back. Will not answer my text either. There is someone in our friend's buddy spot. With no other buddy sights available. Their policy says that buddy sights will be saved for buddies if reservations were made for buddy sights. They were made 2 to three months ahead of time.

Tried to reach mgmt to get partial refund since parent died unexpectedly and we had to leave early. Was promised to be talked to but they never did, so we just left after a day or two, and then mgmt had the stomach to send a message about checkout, payment, etc, in full as if nothing had happened and the site hadn't been empty for a week already.

Awesome location and service! We were in Angel Fire to enjoy the Downhill MTB Park. Monte Verde RV Park let us pitch our tent for a very reasonable price. Wifi, bathrooms, shade and a bike wash station. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Paying Joe by credit card over the phone was fast and easy. We’re hoping to bring our RV and stay long term next summer. Thanks Joe!

We stayed for the first time in our bumper pull here in late July 2020. Everything was a bit weird in the world with COVID but Joe made us feel very welcome via text. We were working remote five of the days and the place has excellent Wifi. It is a little loud during the day in the front spots (we had windows open to enjoy the cool mountain summer), I did not realize there was so much traffic through Angel Fire! This did not impact our stay negatively and it is fun to see the planes come and go across the street but this may be an issue for some.||||We had to move sites twice, Joe was up front about this when we booked, it was the only way to get us in at short notice during high season. All three sites were wonderful and well maintained. We had one issue with a site only being 50 amp, this was our fault for not looking at the reservation but Joe helped us make it work. The back in sites can be a bit tricky for larger rigs but I noticed other people helping if needed. The common area had lovely shade and aspens, one day I worked out there and my coworkers were quite jealous when I showed them the views! ||||It appeared they were working on improvements and additions as well while we were there. I would like to see poop bags for the dogs provided which is common at most parks and a dog yard but I believe that may be in the works based on the map. We are cyclists and noticed a very nice bike wash area! The location is convenient, easy to find and well kept, we come to Angel Fire often and would return.

We unfortunately did not stay here due to my husbands health issues but I can tell you that Tim is amazing! We were booked for a week but as we were traveling I saw that the resort is over 8000’ elevation. My husband is a cardiac patient and has breathing issues as it is so we became very concerned. I contacted Tim and he graciously and patiently talked me through all the potential issues and ways to help at this elevation. Based on his help I was able to possibly stop what could have been a very bad situation. He put our needs and my husbands health above making money. Such an amazing person. We are so great full for his help and once we can hone and the Dr hopefully orders oxygen for my husband we will book again. Just based on our experience there is no where else in the Taos/ Angel Fire area that we would stay.
