NillSpent a week here the end of May. Centrally located between Alamogordo, Ruidoso, Capitan, Valley of Fire and all the Lincoln County history. Very quiet, except for the wind, night skies are beautiful, no light pollution. Showers and a large room with table and chairs just for getting out of the camper. Also books, puzzles and a large selection of VHS tapes. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Thanks John, we really enjoyed our stay!

NillQuiet little RV park off the beaten path. Lot sizes are above average. Restrooms, showers and laundry rooms all within walking distance. Hosts are very nice and accommodating. Views all around. The mountains and sunsets are spectacular. I love seeing the wildlife and the “not so wildlife.”

NillWe stayed at Mountain Springs Ranch for 5 days at the end of October. We don't even know where to begin to express how much we enjoyed staying here. Everything from the fantastic hospitality from John (the owner) to all the wonderful sights and experiences we had here. Each and every sunset was amazing! The stargazing was outstanding because of the extreme darkness and lack of city light pollution. The spring and picnic area is truly a desert oasis. Imagine a small bubbling spring fed pond with ducks and red-winged blackbirds surrounded by HUGE trees (likely over a century old) in the midst of a desert.. There is so much to appreciate and enjoy here that is difficult to capture in a written review. It's also worth mentioning The Valley of Fire Lava fields is only about a 20 minute drive away. White Sands National Park is about an hour away. There are many other local sites and activities within a reasonable distance from the RV park. It's a great place to base out of as well as to explore and experience in it's own right.

NillIn the middle of a cattle ranch, fresh water spring, panoramic views of the sunset, hospitable hosts, full service hook-ups. Less than an hour from White Sands, near Valley of Fires and Three Rivers petroglyphs. The best RV park in the area. We stayed for a few days, left, and came back. You can walk the property and it’s near to everything in the area (except a grocery store). Bathrooms and a laundry facility, which we found really convenient.

NillThe sopts are nice and in a perfect location. There really is a spring. Take a little hike to explore this beautiful area. There's an old wagon in the middle of the campground that's neet to see. The camp manager/host is a really nice guy and helpful. He was there to meet us upon arrival as we had called in advance and gave an eta. There's a surprisingly big laundry room that is most reasonably priced. There's clothes lines as well. There is full hook up for reasonable prices. I'd love to return. We stopped because the Valley of Fires was full and I'm glad we did.

NillThis campground is a rare gem. It's the perfect spot for those looking for full hookups, some site privacy and incredible sunsets (and sunrises). As other reviewers have pointed out there only a few amenities (Clubhouse, bathroom, shower & laundry room). The sites are spacious & very close to level. I did a lot of hiking with my dog (as well as a fellow camper) There are owls in the spring area as well the resident ducks. John and his family are fantastic owners & always took the time to stop & chat. It's only a mile from the highway (& train tracks) and neither were any noise issue for me. I will definitely return for more camping in the future. If there are any drawbacks it is the wind (you can't control mother nature). Also, I would recommend getting to the campground before dark 😉

NillI had a very nice high-plains experience; rustic and well maintained--accommodating, big-sky stargazing and beautiful valley overlook as far as the eye can see. My intention was to stay overnight on my way south but decided to stay another night because it was very comfortable. If you're a glamper, this may not be your style. If you enjoy the great outdoors like me, its an ideal campground with facilities. Clubhouse, picnic area, bathroom/shower, laundry. Highly recommended.

★★★★My husband and I, along with our dog, stayed here for one night as we traveled from So. Arizona to South Carolina. This campground is rustic but in a beautiful and quiet location. We were treated to a gorgeous sunset but I imagine that is true for most evenings as the sun sets behind the mountains. The sites are pull thru, large and full hook-up. The restoom/shower was clean and there is also a small laundry room attached. There is a clubhouse set up with games and puzzles that also includes a Kuerig coffee maker and water cooler. Given that this is located on a working ranch, I was worried it would be hard to get to, but it really wasn't. One of the owners met us at the entrance and drove us to our site. The owners are so friendly and helpful! They were very communicative and made themselves available. Next time we drive thru this area, we would definitely stay again.
