Cozy, charming, clean and affordable! Dog friendly, too. Across the street easy access to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. On my first trip I enjoyed the sights in the area so much that I went back only after a brief time at home. Many places are even within walking distance and very safe. Local musicians, ice cream, restaurants and more! Crabby Bill’s , Guilty Sea, JD’s, and shopping are just a few. I highly recommend you check it out!

This is a great place to stay, The people you meet are great people, The cottages are great, you have everything you need for a great vacation. The only problem is checkout time, Your page says checkout is 10am, but on the day of checkout they want you out earlier so they can clean your cottage for the next guests, If you want people out earlier, change the checkout time to 8am, when you ask people to leave early it can cause a great inconvenience. Other than that, it was a awesome place to stay.

We have been coming here for years. We are always treated like family. Our cottage is quaint, and stocked with thoughtful items. The beach is literally a stone’s throw and is one of the most restful places we have ever been- a true blessing to stay here!

Thank you to Chris, Donna, and Darlene for again providing Cabin 6 for our stay at Sunshine Cozy Cottages! We always appreciate the cleanliness of our cottage, fully equipped with the most thoughtful details. We have enjoyed the quality of our amenities here over the years that include abundant supplies of quality linens and bedding. Often, while here, we have fun cooking in . The fully stocked kitchen essentials make it possible for my resident "seafood chef", hubby to create our favorite dinners. We have so much fun seeing the beautiful flocks of Egrets in the area, as we dine on our darling porch. The staff will stop at nothing to see that our needs are met. As a health care professional, when looking for accommodations on vacation, cleanliness is a top priority.|| The cleaning staff at Sunshine always does an outstanding job of providing a scrupulously clean and fresh cottage. I am a neat freak, and this attention to detail helps to provide a stress free vacation. We have always appreciated the way the staff checks in on us to see that we are completely satisfied. That is why we make Sunshine the only place we will stay when visiting the "Sunshine State!"

Sunshine Cozy Cottages is the absolute only place my family and I will stay at in the IRB/Clearwater/Tampa area, hands-down! I actually hesitated to write this review because I kind of don't want other people to know about our special vacation spot. So shhhhh, you didn't hear about them from me ;) But frankly, SCC is just too wonderful to not talk about! The cottages are absolutely charming: adorable, quiet, safe, lots of big windows and decorated in a darling, breezy, old-fashioned beachy style that is just too cute. This is not a place for young beach partiers—if you're looking for loud and wild and fun, there are plenty of appropriate places for that all up and down Clearwater Beach. SCC is for those who are looking for real, wholesome, family-friendly R&R or a charming, romantic getaway for two (or even that solo vacation you've always said you'd take after retirement!) Most cottages sleep just one or two comfortably, but several others have 2 bedrooms, so a family of four can easily stay without being too crowded—just be sure to ask before you book. They retain all the charm of their 1940s origins (a few mid-century celebs stayed here back in the day—as a WWII buff, that makes my geeky heart so happy!) but are perfectly comfortable for 2023. Cottages are equipped with little kitchenettes that are just big enough to make some homemade meals on nights you don't want to spend money dining out, yet you're no more than a 5- or 10-minute walk from nightlife, dining and just about anything else you'd want, and maybe a 15-minute drive from Publix and Walmart. You're about half an hour from Clearwater Beach boardwalks, and 45 minutes or an hour from Tampa, the zoo, the aquarium and Busch Gardens. (Traffic in these towns is BONKERS so LEAVE EARLY—but hey, that's Florida for you! Plus you're on vacation, so there's no need to rush!) The courtyard is equipped with grills for frying up burgers for a beachside BBQ, too—all available for your use free of charge. The best part: the 7th Ave beach access is maybe a 2-minute walk directly across the street, max—on a quiet evening, you can hear the waves from your open window!) And pricing is absolutely UNREAL: it's probably THE last truly affordable place to stay in IRB, and you get MORE than your bang for your buck. Staff maintains that perfect, almost impossible-to-find balance of there when you need them and out of sight when you don't. (Broken coffeemaker? They've got a brand-new one for you in under 20 minutes. One beach towel short? Just ask!) You really, truly feel like it's your own private beachside home away from home. My family has been coming here twice a year for the better part of a decade. My husband and I got engaged here, and this time, we brought our baby daughter with us—three generations of us now love SCC and cannot WAIT to come back!

It was a great stay We knew what to expect before we got there. The man who was in maintenance was very helpful if we ever needed anything. The neighbors were all very nice as well. I am answering your review and other that is clean inside and out should be enough. I do not want to go into any more detail.

We stayed in cabin 5. Perfect for a family of 3. We enjoyed the ocean breeze from the front porch. Beds were comfortable. Had a full kitchen which we didn't end up using except to cook a pizza one night for a late night snack. This cabins are old, but don't let that scare you. It added to their charm for us. They were originally officers quarters at the nearby airforce base and moved to the location to become beach resort in the post WWII Era. Everything you need and only seconds from the beach access and a short walk to amazing restaurants. Definitely will consider a return trip. Would be great for multiple families to rent several of the cabin units.

Even before I checked in, I had a bad vibe about this place. The owner wasnt on the property, so I had to call her. She seemed very confused as to why I was calling. Once she figured it out, she directed me to cabin 16, where I was staying. The housekeeper was there and gave me the keys, no paperwork, nothing. The cabin was very run down, electrical sockets loose, no exhaust fan in bathroom, uneven floors, ceiling fan, air conditioner and blinds were filthy, furniture is old, there were 2 doors that lead to laundry areas that were blocked of, but still creepy, a door that led to a patio but was blocked off, kitchen was listed as being fully equipped but had the bare necessities, garbage disposal didn't work. On the positive side, the property is in walking distance to the beach, cafes and shops, in close proximity to many beach towns and things to do, beds were comfy, and the history of the property/buildings is neat. I saw into the cabin across from ours and it looked a lot nicer than ours. I feel that for the price we paid, the cabin could be a lot better. The pictures online are deceiving. I W ont be going back.
