★★★★We traveled with several couples to Beachpoint Cottages for a week. The atmosphere is really quirky but fun., so therefore I gave it a 4. The fire pit was great at night, the walk to the beach and town was easy, so what is my complaint? We visited the site last year before the storm and chose our rooms from pictures on the web site. We chose ours for the porch area. We chose number 3 which had the pine walls and old Florida feel. It looked good from the pictures. However, when we arrived we couldn't believe the difference. The wooden walls were dirty, the island was chipped and looked like it had been there for many years, there was one lamp in the living area and one tube light in the kitchen. The sofa was dirty. There was an old green bathroom rug in the kitchen as well as in the bathroom. The bathroom was ok but small. The king bed was nice but left very little room in the tiny bedroom. We felt like we were living in a cave. To make matters worse, the other cottages had been redone after the storm and were beautiful, so we spent most of our inside time next door. I suggest if they want the old Florida feel to spruce it up, replace the furniture, and modernize the kitchen counter. Painting the walls would even lighten it up! I agree with the reviewer before me, but I did not experience mold. Frankly,I didn't stay in it long enough to notice. So, the cottages are cool, but if you go, stay away from cottage 3 unless you like the really old Florida feel.

★★★★★We had an awesome time! Very welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. Cottage was well equipped, comfortable and the 60 second walk to beach was the best! Fire pit on cool nights was perfect. Having everything there was such a relief. Chairs, wagon, towels, umbrella etc. Also having the village 2 min walk was sooo cool! So much to do in town. Walked to everything. Easy uber to Sarasota New Years Eve Pineapple drop. So much fun! Would highly recommended and come again .

★We booked Beachpoint based on the online photos and ratings and to be close to the beach. The room we were given was not pictured (only the outside fron door) When we entered, it resembled a hunting cabin and there was an immediate odor of mold. We texted the owners or managers immediately, and we called 3 times. They did not answer for quite awhile. We were tired after traveling all day, but we sat and waited. While waiting we realized that the heat was not working. The temperatures were going to 42 that night and we were just sitting with our coats on. Through texts, we were able to get the bedroom mini split working. They insisted that the living room worked although there was no heat setting on that thermostat. We are capable and intelligent people. The man popped his head in and said, well, the bedroom will heat the whole place. My husband and I sleep at different times and door was closed, so the morning was cold and the mold was making my glands swell and nose run, so we had to make the decision to leave. I have surgery soon and could not risk being ill. This was all communicated, to no avail. On their texts, they were condescending and unprofessional, blaming us. We filed a dispute with Booking.com asking for only a partial refund and they have refused. Renter please beware. I will share pictures that show the mold, one of the trip hazards and the unaesthetic appeal of this room. (not pictured is a step down into the bathroom) We did ask to be moved twice, and they did not repsond to that question or to our mold/allergy concerns. The price was too much for this " dated and dirty cottage". We lost over $300.00 and regret trusting this property greatly.

NillAmazing unit, beach access right across the street. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, literally everything within walking distance. I only drove my car to put gas other than that, walking distance All beach ⛱️ supplies comes with this unit and also Bicycle 🚲 you can ride all day long if you like. I rented 1 bed and 1 bath unit because it was my daughter and myself and it was awesome. One king size bed and queen sofa bed, I took the sofa because I do get up early regardless 🙃 😆. Everything you see on the room and amenities biography all is 100 💯. Very clean, plenty of beach towel, bath towels. Etc. Come and enjoy 😉 a great vacation. ⛱️😉😊 I will use this rental again 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟and the best part is Pet friendly 🐕 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟small fee but I did my homework and compare others this one was awesome 👌

NillA great location for a vacation getaway. Getting to the beach is as simple as crossing the street and it’s only a quick 3 minute walk to Siesta Village. The cottages are all well cared for and a great place to relax. A wonderful atmosphere and a place my family will definitely revisit in the future!!
