★★★★★We have visited Rocky Hide-a-Way many times in different seasons. The owner are gracious and accomodating. The cabins are rustic but still with many ammmenities. Scenery is beautiful, including abundant deer and other wildlife.|Lake and White River are easily accessible. Also walking trails. So, if you are looking for a quiet country getaway, we recommend this place.

Nillnestled in the heart of picturesque Bull Shoals an easy walking distance of the lake ours was a two-bedroom cabin with a full kitchen complete with cookware and plates and glasses and everything you need it had television and heat it was clean and well maintained. Kathy The owner / manager is a wonderful lady. She is friendly and engaging and knows a lot about the area. This was my second time staying there and I have to say that there's no reason that I would ever want to stay anywhere else when I came to Bull Shoals...

★★★★★We recently went on a road trip through Arkansas, and Rocky Hideaway in Bull Shoals was our first stop. Our family of four stayed three nights in a two-bedroom cabin. Although our cabin was a bit cramped with all the luggage we brought, it still had a rustic, cozy charm. We found there were not many options for restaurants nearby, but there was a Harps grocery store so we cooked dinner at the cabin our first night. Other cabins might have had bigger kitchens, but ours was very tiny -- just a small fridge, microwave, stove, and not much counter space. I wouldn't try cooking indoors, but fortunately each cabin has its own charcoal grill, so we used that instead and ate at the picnic table. The playground was right outside our door which meant we could still see our kids playing from inside the house. There was also a nice pool that was pretty private since we were the only ones using it. I also liked that we were able to walk down to the lake from our cabin. The owner, Kathryn, was super friendly and offered lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. We took her suggestions on renting a boat at Bull Shoals Lake Dock, toured the cavern, stopped at the dam visitor's center and enjoyed a really nice dinner at Gaston's which looks out over the White River. All were great recommendations. Kathryn was even so kind as to mail us back some jewelry our daughter accidentally left behind. We had a great time in Bull Shoals and would definitely stay at Rocky Hideaway if we're ever in that area again.

★★★★★I purchased Down In The Holler Lodge in 1994 and changed the name to Rocky Hollow Lodge. The cabins were quaint and quintessentially “Ozarkesque.” We had a blast bringing the floors back to their original shine where I was told a lady dare not wear a dress because they were darned near mirror like! The people in that area are the friendliest I’ve ever encountered and still consider many of them dear friends. |I’ve looked in on the lodge over the years but it’s never looked this good. It seems the current owners are striving to keep the original integrity which makes it such a special place. The walk down to the lake is peaceful and full of nature at its best. One of the things our customers enjoyed was the layout of the six cabins. I can’t tell you how many bookings of the entire lodge we had over our four years that entailed large families. Being in one place gave them the freedom to relax and visit to their hearts content.|There is so much local history in that lodge. I’m so glad to see it still proudly standing.||Happy memories to all who visit.||Jacqui Fojt

NillCharming, clean cabins near the lake, cavern and multiple parks. The owner was one of the sweetest people we've ever met. There's lots to do outdoors in the area, but don't expect to find a lot of restaurants or other businesses in town that are open. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded getaway that's off the beaten path, this is the perfect spot.

NillI loved Kathryn and Dino! This is the 4th time we have stayed there. The cabins are always nice and clean, and they are more than happy to answer any questions you have about the area. Last year I took my grandkids and we has a blast.

NillThis place is a hidden gem! Our place we were going to stay fell through. I called a friend and he brought us here. Mrs. Katherine and Mr. Deno took care of us and treated us like family. The cottages are very clean, nice furniture, cold, and stocked with everything you need! It's very private and quiet. There is a great playground for the kids, nice swimming pool (that never closes, just have to keep your clothes on 😉) and a beautiful slice of Bull Shoals Lake! There is a great little dock perfect for swimming and fishing! I highly recommend Rocky Hide-a-way cottages!!!
