NillI arrived at the Anchorage airport after 1 am on Tuesday morning. I was able to contact Hampton Inn's front desk quickly and request a shuttle. The shuttle arrived in a timely manner. The driver was professional. The front desk receptionist was friendly and cheerful, despite the late hour. I had checked-in already with the Hilton Honors app. She quickly supplied me with a key to my room as well as two bottles of water and two cookies. The water was very appreciated. I didn't try the cookies until morning, and they were very dry by then. The room was clean when I arrived. I was able to go straight to bed and enjoyed a quiet and peaceful few hours of sleep. I took my time in the morning and was very grateful for the 12 pm check-out time instead of 11 am. I made use of the supplied breakfast and found plenty of options that interested me. The dining area was clean and welcoming. My one suggestion to the hotel would be that it would be nice to have another shelf in the shower area to place shower supplies.

NillI stayed here last month as I’m having regular doctor appointments in Anchorage and no complaints..room was fine, front desk lady was great. The only issue was the pool was out of order, not a huge deal. We just drove in 6 hours from Fairbanks and I booked a king room with a sofa a week in advance. Tofi checked us in with no sense of urgency, no smile and hardly any eye contact it was like we were an inconvenience just showing up. She put us into a room with 2 queen beds which had hair on the toilet seat, questionable old crusty white stuff on the chair, what looked like crushed deodorant in the floor, a stain on the bed and the walls had dirty hand marks and water stains. (I wish I had taken pictures). When we went back down to let her know that wasn’t the room we booked she had an attitude and all she said was that they had no king beds left. After pushing that we booked this room in advance and were not notified even upon arriving about the room, there was all of a sudden a king bed but its handicap accessible with no couch and STILL not what we paid for and booked. Not to mention run down furniture as pictured. After getting into our new room for the night I went to double check that the room we ordered is in fact unavailable and it’s showing that it is available to book. We will stay for tonight as we’re only staying one night but we will not be returning back which is sad considering that we’re honor members and planned to stay here during our monthly trips to Anchorage. Now we will find somewhere else to give our money.

★★★★I would have given a 5 Star review but the pool was inoperable and wasn't going to be repaired anytime soon. They did offer us to use the pool at their sister property but that wasn't going to work for our situation and is highly inconvenient in the winter. ToFi the front desk staff was amazing and made me feel like family and ensured we had everything we needed during our two week stay. She even assisted with a wheelchair after surgery. She continually checked on us. Mina and Rene did a fantastic job with breakfast, keeping the food fresh, stocked and the area clean.

NillI stayed at this hotel for a week. Its location near the St. Elias Hospital was a priority. The hotel shuttle to the airport was very convenient. The hotel could use some upgrades, particularly to the carpets, but was generally clean. The fitness room served my needs with several pieces of cardio equipment and weights. The morning breakfast staff was cheerful and accommodating, and the buffet had more options than many other hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced. In particular, the evening front desk staff, Tofi, was very caring and helpful, and I was happy when she was on duty.

NillThe room was not filthy but was not clean, front desk staff seemed very stressed, the bathroom was without a fan and has a sensor light that turns on automatically, regardless of time of night. Walls were fairly thin and didn't keep out noise well. The gym space was good, breakfasts were tasty with good options, and the location was good to my needs.

NillI have stayed multiple times and have a mixed bag of experiences. Initially it was fine in the spring. Clean and equipped. Summer also fine, nothing to brag about (but for Anchorage, pretty good). Fall I find the room smells extremely like acetone/chemical. The hotel is sold out and refused to do anything about it initially. Two days in they offer room service, which they will not be able to get rid of the stench because that's just how potent it was, they never came. I slept with the window open during the stay to help. My chemical room was 212, if you experience the same, I recommend mentioning it to staff. It could be a health hazard. I experienced a skin rash, respiratory symptoms, red irritated eyes, and headaches that all cleared immediately after getting home and washing everything including myself. All of my clothing reeked of this stench too, which is probably why it didn't clear up until I was in uncontaminated clothing. I truly don't think it was safe to continue staying in that room. Breakfast was adequate, staff were fine, location good for work. Also no bottled water in the market area.

NillOur stay at the Hampton Inn was great except that no one told us the pool was down and wasn't going to work anytime soon. We were there for two weeks and couldn't swim. We were given the option to drive over to their sister property but that wasn't going to work either. ToFi and Faith at the front desk were great. ToFi has exceptional customer service and made me feel like family. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay and that we had everything we needed for recovery from surgery. ToFi is wonderful!! Mina and Rene did an outstanding job keeping the breakfast area filled, fresh and clean! They were both very attentive to the guests. There were 3 housekeeping staff that would provide linens and anything else I needed to clean the room. Great stay but they really need to fix the pool!!

★★★★★I stayed here 5 nights. Everything was great. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was one of the best I've had. They even had fresh blueberries & strawberries. The staff was very attentive to the breakfast replenishing when necessary. The only thing that could be a bit better is that the hotel needs a little updating but what hotel doesn't. Overall a great comfortable place to stay.
