NillI stayed 3 nights here back in late summer of 2021 and had a terrific stay! Room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the shuttle took me and picked me up when needed with no issues. Close to food and located in a seemingly safe part of town. Hoping recent reviews I see on here are just a bunch of whiners because I’m planning another trip in the near future and would love to stay here again.

NillI frequently stay at Marriott properties for work, and Residence Inn has generally been my go-to choice. However, my recent stay left me with mixed feelings. While the housekeeping staff and breakfast team were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive, the front desk team was less than impressive. During my several-week stay, I encountered staff who seemed indifferent, unprofessional and, at times, unfriendly. One key issue I had was with billing. Although I was billed every 4-6 days, which was fine, I requested that the front desk consolidate these charges into a single document for my company’s reimbursement process. Harvest (I believe she supervises desk people) responded to my email and assured me that this could be done, and she'd send me one electronic document. Unfortunately, despite my follow-up emails, I never received the final folio. This oversight caused unnecessary delays in my expense submission and added stress to my work travel. Additionally, the hotel failed to update my final day's charge on my Marriott Bonvoy account, which required me to contact Marriott headquarters for assistance. I also reached out to the General Manager of this property, for help with these issues, but I never received a response to my email from her. On the positive side, the room was comfortable and well-equipped, which I appreciated during my extended stay. I especially enjoy having a kitchen, as it makes longer stays more convenient. While I generally enjoy staying at Residence Inn, this experience fell short due to customer service. I hope the hotel can improve in this area to match the high standards I’ve come to expect from Marriott. (My Google username is my nickname, not my full name).

★★★★★I had a fantastic stay at Residence Inn. The room was very comfortable and quiet, making it easy to relax. It was great that the hotel was pet-friendly, allowing me to bring my furry friend along. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

★★★★★Staff is wonderful and the breakfast is always amazing, I would definitely stay here again! The weather is also beautiful in the mornings when and if there is a sunrise, last month we saw a mama moose and her calf which was super amazing to see and bunnies which was also lovely to see.

★★Spent almost $800 for 3 night just for the pool to go under “maintenance” the first night we got there and conveniently wouldn’t be back in service until the day we were supposed to check out. It was very frustrating. Staff was courteous, rooms weren’t bad.

NillIf you plan to stay here, please be aware that your rooms may not be cleaned. Everything else was fine, breakfast was nice, the pool was nice, the rooms are spacious, but sanitary wise - be careful, everyone.

★★★★Nice place to stay and plan your vacation from. Rooms are reasonably priced compared to downtown, free parking, free breakfast and rooms are large and have a kitchen. ||Overall a nice location and everything in Anchorage is just 3 to 5 miles away so a short drive. We stayed first two nights downtown, two in Denali and last two nights downtown. Only benefit to downtown is you can walk to restaurants and train. Otherwise you deal with large cruise ship crowds at downtown hotels and restaurants along with paid parking. We actually picked up car after staying downtown.
