Holiday Inn Express Anchorage, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is a convenient location to the airport and dining options. My room was spacious and very comfortable. The beds were a firm but still comfortable softness with great bedding. There was firm and squishy pillows on both beds. In Anchorage, it can be difficult to have a microwave, mini fridge and a free breakfast, so the value of my room was perfect. I had to extend my stay an extra night, so the front desk made it quick and easy to stay in the same room.

Room was clean. Staff were nice. Room was quiet. A few things I noticed that need to be taken care of but nothing that severely detracts from how my stay was. The shower needs a cartridge changed out. The breakfast selection was good but the quality of it was lacking as not all of it was fresh, namely the eggs, sausage, and breads. I will stay here again and sleep well knowing I am in a clean room. I will not plan on eating the breakfast that is included.

This Anchorage Holiday Inn Express is in need of a make over. The furniture is worn and dated. Wifi is sketchy at best. No USB ports or good connectivity in the rooms. Staff was pleasant and helpful when asked. It does have a small indoor pool--no hot tub.

OK the staff cannot help that this hotel is so dated. The breakfast was good could’ve been hotter. There were stains on the curtains and things that they were obviously clean but stained. Location is a plus the shuttle service is a plus the staff is a plus plus plus. My room was nice and quiet. They recognize me as an elite member which is always appreciated, the shuttle service is spot on if the place is remodeled it would be a 10

I prefer Holiday Inn Express any time I travel, but especially in Anchorage, AK. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast has good variety and taste great. Hot items are hot and cold items are cold. Shuttle service to and from the airport is convenient.

Comfortable bed and very quiet. Great stop over after 27 hours of traveling. Made good use of shuttle to and from the airport. Everyone was professional, polite and pleasant.

I recently stayed at this location because of its proximity to the airport. I checked in after hours and checked out around 3am. I was charged multiple times for $308.54 (the total cost of the room plus deposit) and an additional three times for $150 (the room deposit) which is still pending on my account a full week after I checked out. I suspect that the excessive charges to my card was a probing technique used to assess the strength of my card. I also suspect that my card number was compromised. The room was filthy by anyones standards, but after my experience at the front desk, I opted to sleep in my clothes, on top of the bedding provided. IHG corporate referred me back to the hotel in question, which was no help at all. PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS.
