Greetings! We had the pleasure of staying here for a night while in town for an event. Kelly is God-Sent! She is patient and so kind!! The room was part of the newer section of the Hotel and we have NO complaints! We traveled with our 2 girls and the kitchen/dinning space made it feel like our home away from home!! The local bus system is justa few walks down the street and FNBA is their neighbor!! The river is literally our view and if it weren't for the light snow storm, we probably could see across the lagoon. And so, again, we thank you for working with us and God bless you (Kelly) and the Owners abundantly and we declare prosperity and favour upon your establishment!!

I give this bed and breakfast 3 stars due to the friendliness of the owners. They are incredibly nice. The area of the bed and breakfast that we stayed in was dirty and run down. There was phone numbers written in random places near the phones, such as all over the paper towel dispenser in the kitchen. It was Nothing like the pictures online. And if I had known that they had a dog we never would have stayed their due to my Mothers allergies. The room had food crumbs on the floor, several pieces of furniture were falling apart, there was gunk in the drawer of the bedside table, it was really dusty, and it had all kinds of random junk in the desk. One bed had a mattress on top of a mattress, normally It would have a mattress and a box spring. It was listed as a clean, modern bed and breakfast on the website. The bedding seemed to be clean, everything else in the room was pretty grimy.

Staying here on a business trip, the new building with the individual rooms with bathrooms are decent. Clean and quiet which is all I can ask for being so far out in the middle of nowhere. Internet is terrible but it seems to be this way everywhere in Bethel. There are full kitchens upstairs and downstairs which allows you to store and prepare food at your own leisure. This review is only for the new building, i am not sure how the rest of the place is.

Bentley's is the largest "Bed and Breakfast" in Bethel although it is more of a mix between hotel and B&B. It consists of one large main building and several outter buildings, most of which are along the river and have spectacular views. Rooms are homey and their are traditional crafts and decorations throughout the main building. Each room has cable television and common areas also have large screen TVs with VCRs. There is a guest kitchen complete with cookware and refrigerator/freezer storeage space. Staff is extemely friendly and cleaning crew is top notch. Guest have shared bathrooms and hot homemade breakfast is provided with cost of the room. Management does not tollerate any drinking or partying, which helps to maintain the safe home-like feel of the establishment. Staff is very helpful with regards to directions, dining, and any other questions travelers may have about Bethel itself. Bentley's is a long time well established business and is a favorite for many local dignitaries and long time itinerant workers.

Bentley's Porter House is a B&B in Bethel AK. It seems to have a crowd of regulars who come back periodically for some work-related visit, so it was a good place to hang around the breakfast table and chat with people from Alaska and from elsewhere. And breakfast was pretty good. ||||In the early evening, people also were willing to socialize. And then everything quieted down fast.||||The rooms themselves were small and not particularly comfortable, but I would stay there again because of the atmosphere.

What can I say ... it is a place to stay. It has hot and running water (well actually not when they ran out during my stay; the water comes by water truck). It has an OK breakfast. But years ago it seemed to be in much better condition and I don't remember it being run-down. My room in the main building was OK ... except that it had a big fist whole in the very thin hollow core door. Maybe the best thing is talking to the other guests at breakfast. Oh yes ... the internet is very good and I love the water-front location.

For Bethel, this is the place to stay. Great location, clean rooms and very quiet. The previous guest complained about bed bugs but that was NOT my experience. I look forward to many future stays ☺️
