Best Western Bidarka Inn

Stayed here for a job I was doing in Homer. The room was so quiet, especially for being on the first floor. I was very pleased. It's within walking distance to quite a few restaurants, which is great if you don't want to drive or if you want to have a couple with dinner lol the ladies at the front desk were pleasant, funny and helpful. It was a bit warm in my room, but they have fans in the closet!

I would just like to give a huge shout out to Dionna! She made our stay here so wonderful. She has such a welcoming presence. On top of that she was very knowledgeable in everything from the hotel to fun facts about Alaska. My family had a minor set back with the bar manager Rochelle, but Dionna made up for it with her humor and warming smile.

The shower pressure was excellent. Needed to run the water three minutes, but then it would get hot. The shower gel was empty. They put a solo female Traveler in an adjacent building right next to an unsecured outside door. The door would not close and cold Air was whistling through my room door. The breakfast was good lots of choices and hot items were hot.

We recently stayed at the Best Western in Homer and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast provided was quite nice. However, it's important to note that not all rooms have a view of the ocean, so you might want to request a specific room with a view when making your reservation. Additionally, there are options for late-night food, which is convenient. The ease of entry and overall service made my stay very pleasant. Highly recommended!

very comfortable bed, nice room! Unfortunately our room was over the on site bar which was very noisy along with being next to the stairs. Good hot breakfast with lots of good views while your eating. The whole property was a little dirty, dated, outside on the grounds. Otherwise very comfortable room wise.

Positive: Had a great breakfast in a room with amazing views of the water. Also the fitness center was extremely nice, very well equipped. Negative: Their website says they have a local shuttle, and there was a marked van parked in the parking lot, but they won't shuttle you anywhere. They weren't particularly empathetic or helpful when I pointed out that their website advertises a shuttle.

The Best Western Bidarka Inn is in a great location in Homer. The employee at the front desk was very helpful when we checked in, providing us with a wealth of info. While the room may have been a little dated, the accommodations were still comfortable and had everything that we needed during our stay. They also have a restaurant/bar called the Otter Room that had pool tables and such. It seemed to be pretty popular in the evening but we didn't utilize it. The breakfast options offered by the hotel sounded pretty great - it included an omelet bar. The room also had the basics of shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. Internet service worked great too. We got a pretty decent rate by utilizing a AAA discount, so be sure to look into that option if you have it. Our room was located on the top floor and was relatively quiet. Some rooms may have a view, ours only had a "peek-a-boo" view of the water if you looked hard enough. There was some road noise due to the occasional overly loud truck driving down the road. Really the only thing that may be an issue depending on who checks into the rooms on either side of you, is that the walls are a bit thin. We could hear our neighbors alarm clock in the morning and bits and pieces of their conversations. Overall this hotel met the bill for our needs with its convenient location, value, comfy accommodations and easy parking! Would definitely recommend to others!
