The Ridge Lodge Alaska

I could not recommend The Ridge more to anyone seeking a premier Alaska fly fishing experience. We truly had the trip of a lifetime. Huge thanks to John, Macy, and the rest of the team at the lodge! They go above and beyond to accommodate you and personalize your experience to meet your specific needs. I've been blessed to see a few different lodges across the state of Alaska and The Ridge is by far my favorite. The fishing is lights out, the pilots are outstanding, and the view from the lodge is unrivaled. I like to call Alaska's best kept secret! Hope to be back for many more trips with the crew at The Ridge!

My recent trip to The Ridge was the trip of a lifetime for this old fisherman. I'm a professional fly fishing guide and I've traveled north to Canada and Alaska over 30 times and fished in some amazing waters. Nothing compares to The Ridge..... the lodging, the attention to detail displayed by the staff, the natural beauty, and most importantly, the giant rainbow trout. Could not ask for a better lodge and I'll be back next year. Thank you John and Macy! Gary

Epic is an understatement. This was a fantastic weeklong family adventure. I love The Ridge! The accommodations and food are outstanding! This is not a place to come if you want to lose weight. Each night the food was simply amazing and every day after lunch Macy has homemade cookies in the cooler for each guest and the guides. When I met John and Macy at the fly fishing show, they told us they would teach us how to spey cast and catch huge trout. Mission accomplished! John’s patient instruction had us successfully swinging for massive trout in no time. Each day was a new adventure at a new river in a new area with a new species of fish. One day we caught over 100 Greyling, which I had never caught before. If you want to target one species or several species, it doesn't matter. You have floatplanes, jet boats, and rafts at your disposal…depending on the weather. I can’t say enough, and it’s hard to describe the lifetime of memories created during our time at The Ridge. We will be back!

World class would be an understatement. We have been going year after year to this lodge for the past 7 years. The fishing is world class, and the staff is world class as well. They recently added on some amazing accommodations that you can’t miss. If you’re looking for 5 star fishing, 5 star accommodations, and 5 star service / staff, you have found your place. It is also incredibly well priced. Don’t miss out on this amazing experience.

Such a beautiful place on this planet! Thanks to John, Macy and all of the folks who made this trip possible! Michael our chef, and guides, pilots, etc. have been fabulous! So much wildlife and wild spaces, with bears, salmon, trout, eagles, moose, to name a few! A trip of a lifetime that will be our 4th trip back to the Ridge in 2025!
