This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at in Alaska. The hotel is newly reinvented; even the ceilings made from cedar are stunning. My room has a balcony that over looks the harbor. The extremely kind and happy owner walked me to my room, and he even gave me a tour of the new gym. You can tell that a lot of love is being put into this hotel and that this business only wants the best for their costumers. This is the only hotel I will stay at when visiting Juneau from now on. My room is spotless and there’s no chemical smell from cleaning products. Also, you can easily walk (3 to 9 blocks) to access food and quaint stores (even if it’s raining). At last, the bed is dreamy, and the towels are brand new.

Waterfront on Glacier is a beautiful and comfortable boutique hotel. The property has been extensively renovated recently and the location was perfect. The rooms are comfortable, modern, and clean. Very good value! We look forward to returning the next time we are in Alaska and highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Juneau.

I am in Juneau for work and stayed at the Waterfront for 6 weeks. Even through all the trial and errors the hotel has been goin through. Which any hotel goes through while remodeling and the rebuilding of reliable and trustworthy staff. They have been very accommodating to my co workers and myself and have made me feel at home. They've even gone above and beyond to the point my shy timid dog feels comfortable and at home. 100000000/10 will book again when I return.

Wow!!! Waterfront on Glacier is amazing! The room we stayed in was beautiful! We loved the rustic feel of the beautiful woodwork, the bed was so comfortable, the location was perfect. We were near downtown, on the Harbour, shopping was convenient, and many nearby restaurants. We had a beautiful view of the mountains. We saw waterfalls, and snowcapped mountain. I took morning walks, and enjoyed the scenery.

The Waterfront on Glacier is a newly remodeled hotel. The staff is amazing! Kind, helpful, and strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. While not having an elevator, they do have complete disability access to the 2nd floor and will have similar access to the 1st in the near future. It's September 2024 right now, and while open not all floors are finished being remodeled, as they are still working on the 1st floor. There is also easy access to the main road with destination very nearby. The rooms are each unique in that every shelf and countertop are beautifully hand crafted, so no 2 shelves are the same exactly. This is a suite hotel for people who are looking to stay for weeks or longer at a time. They have a two burner induction stove top, a midsize fridge, and plenty of countertop space in both the kitchenette and bathroom. The sink faucet has a moveable handle with dual function output, regular or spray. Hardwood floors in the main area with tiling in the bathroom. A beautiful walk-in shower. Very good lighting in all areas, even when shade is down, there doesn't seem to be one spot in all of the room in shadow or darkness. There is also a deck for the 2nd and 3rd floors. All of those pros of why you should stay here, I feel I'd be remiss if I didn't list the very, very few cons. There are only 2 cons that I can think of. 1st, is that the hotel is obviously an older building frame, I so while the interior is immaculate, the soundproofing between rooms and floors is not quite great. But at the same time, not paper thin either. 2nd, is that the room thermostats don't have a cooling option, just heat or off. But do remember, this is Alaska, so a lot of buildings don't carry AC. Then there's also the fact that if you're feeling too hot, they do have portable fans available. Oh, right, I forgot to mention that the beds are extremely comfortable. Overall, if you're coming to Juneau, you definitely should give this place a try if you're in need of long term lodging.

My third trip to Juneau in 2 years and this is by far the nicest place in town. The views can’t be beat and the location is perfect, being close enough to walk to every thing you need without being right in the middle of the tourist sector when a million people flood off the cruise ships… I travel to Juneau often for business and the rooms with full kitchens and laundry make longer stays a breeze. I won’t be staying anywhere else on future trips, and plan to bring the entire family here on the next trip for an extended vacation.

Good comfortable accommodations with parking, just a 5 minute drive from downtown Juneau (Franklin St. etc.); front-facing rooms have decks with views of the Gastineau Channel; lots of attention to detail make these rooms a great place to rest after busy Alaska days hiking by the glacier or bike riding

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be one of the first guests of the newly renovated Waterfront on Glacier as it continues its 'soft opening'. Although not fully open at this moment, they are taking reservations on a limited basis. This place is going to be THE premier Boutique upscale property in Juneau without a doubt. Beautiful wood finishing and flooring throughout with a classic retro feel to what was formally a 'Motel'. The bed was amazing and the staff literally bent over backwards to assist us during our two-day stay. We had a Sea View suite but, with this location I would have been just as happy to have a Mountain View room! Close to all in Juneau and we will definitely come when they have the restaurant open as well. In summary: Modern yet Rustic, down-home feel with upscale flair!
