NillCame here in October to start our honeymoon. Drive from Anchorage was amazingly beautiful. The hotel side of the building was very nice. Lovely lobby with a bit of a lodge feel, decently cleaned. Swing door in front of the elevator on 3rd floor was interesting. The room was very clean and the Mountain view room definitely worth the money! I did not love that I could not use the tv's free HDMI port to use as a monitor for my laptop. But the tv shows that seem to be on loop since the 90's for the area made it feel like we had stepped back in time and helped me disconnect from normal routines. All in All it was a very nice stay and we would return!

NillPerfect December weekend trip… amenities for the room were as described, plus very quiet, great location…Sorry I didn’t catch the housekeeper’s name ( he described himself as the maid ❤️, but he was so kind and friendly. And thank you , Melissa , at the front desk for making my birthday weekend special. 5/5 😃😃

★It looks like they have updated "good" rooms and outdated "bad" rooms. I got a horrible room, 207 for $200. The only positive is the location. ||My non-smoking room stunk with cigarettes. |Sheets were super wrinkled and looked reused, the bedcovers were stained all over, the pillows were flat. |WiFi NEVER worked. ||There was heavy cranking noise (probably coming from the old heating system) that sounded like someone was dropping a giant hammer right next to you. This happened exactly every 30 minutes. Even with ear plugs, I still clearly heard it and couldn't sleep.

NillThis hotel is dirty, rooms small and not very accommodating staff. The walkability is a positive for restaurants and food, barbecue place across the street amazing, breakfast food truck down the street sooo good. Shops and river front out the door convenient. If you need a room and all is sold out in town, fine but not an overwhelmingly accommodating or clean.

NillThe room was extremely hot with no air conditioning so we had to have the windows open. But it's right by the main road, so you can hear and smell the traffic, and sometimes people go by. Bed was pretty comfortable and it seemed clean. Decent if you just need shelter for the night.

★★★★Great location: walking distance from cruise terminal, harbour for fjords boat tours, and the railway, as well as a shuttle stop.||Our room wasn't inside the main building and the window looked onto the walkway to get to that section of rooms - so if you had the curtains open, people walking past looked in. Also, it was a bit annoying not to have the sink in the bathroom, and I would have liked more than just a rail for clothes - we could hang our wet jackets, but that was it. ||As with many places we stayed on this trip, the bed had a blanket and a sheet rather than a duvet, and the curtains weren't blackout.||Overall, staff were lovely, we could store our luggage and heating worked a treat. Would stay again for the location. Better than I expected from the internet pictures.

NillWe were in an older wing on a walkway. No privacy sheers so we were in a cave because we closed the curtains. The AC didn’t work. No plugs by the beds although there was a good set on the desk. Small room which was cramped with 4 pieces of luggage. The bed coverings were new but the desk chair was broken down. You tip back when you sit it in. More importantly, the staff struggled with providing correct info about their shuttle service. We were told at check-in that they couldn’t take us to our cruise pier because it only went to the “other one”. There is only one cruise pier. There were two other employees who heard this but didn’t speak up. Checked a 2nd time that evening and found out from one of these bystanders that we could get a ride from the shuttle. Also asked about the free town shuttle. The clerk started listing all the stops going in the opposite direction. When I asked for the location of the stop going into town he told me it was down the street. I’m, a map maybe. Or a landmark.

NillWe stayed with you a couple of months ago for 2 nights (very busy season) as we were booked out of Seward for our cruise. Although the hotel was bursting at the seams and getting slammed by loads of people all at once the reception staff, Cheryl and Pam, were very helpful and had great senses of humor. The shuttle driver, we nicknamed him "Walrus" John, was a true gentleman and a great font of knowledge. Accommodation, yes, it is a motel, was a little tired but, our room was clean (thank you Miles A.) the shower was great and it was quiet. When next in this neck of the woods we will be staying again. Thank you all for being welcoming. Cheers, Tania and Roy, Australia
