Holiday Inn Express Benicia, an IHG Hotel

Awesome hotel with modern furnishings. I dinged them on service because of my check in experience. I waited for over ten minutes before someone came to check me in, and he was on his cell phone. The guy, Dillon, was on speaker phone and kept having to ask me the same questions over and over because he couldn't decide between listening to me or the personal call he was on. Emmy in the kitchen is a true gem and so intuitive when it comes to anticipating any breakfast needs. I am giving a star back to the review solely because she makes mornings that much easier. From keeping everything fully stocked, making sure the food is cooked perfectly, and also ensuring the tables stay clean between people eating, her services are greatly appreciated!

This hotel has been here a while. Not sure if it was always a Holiday Inn but they turned it into one. Looks are deceiving, especially at first glance. Being met by a remote desk attendant providing greetings through a robot station was not my idea of ready service but it's Frisco, I guess they are trying new things. The corridors, elevator, and rooms are very dated and dark. However, they are clean and the on hand staff is especially friendly and helpful. The business area / breakfast station is newly renovated, bright and modern. I would recommend a stay here

Rooms are very nicely furnished and clean, the breakfast was outstanding!! Emmy was the most gracious lady who personally excelled in quality and caring about each individual. Thank you to all the staff that made my week stay away from home, feel like I was not away.

I've stayed here twice and the second time I was charged $250 for smoking charge and I don't smoke. I asked the mgr. for proof, since maintenance and housekeeping were in my room during my 3 day stay and would have noticed something then (not at check out) also, my nebulizer for my asthma was present and seen on the credenza. Plus, there are 2 smoke detectors in the room that would have gone off had there been smoke in the room. I feel this is unfair and unjust and the mgr. will not respond back to me. This place is where my fellow colleagues stay when we are working in that area. I will let EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Seriously, I had to move rooms on my first stay because of issues and the second time/stay, the floor was soaked due to the fridge being unplugged. I just dealt with it. Now this. This is absolute false to charge me for something I did not do.

There's no front desk staff.... They've been replaced with one of those remote kiosks. Bed was comfy but walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin... Lotta noise waking me up from outside too. Had multiple problems with TV blinking out randomly. Place looks like something from 1950s... Needs update, especially outlets. Business center was a joke.... Printer not working, computer waaay to slow, and full of crap software insteas of MS standard software.... Couldn't do anything.

The location is great for activity in Benicia and the front desk staff was exceptional with a quick check in and helpful when we asked to change our room due to a noisy electrical/ hvac system. Room was clean. Parking was directly beneath the hotel and very convenient. Unfortunately the property could use an extensive remodel due to its age

I've stayed at this facility/hotel on a prior visit to the area, but I had more time this time and was able to eat near just a 1-minute walk away at the nearby Sports Bar and Grill. The accommodations were great, clean rooms, receptionist was very friendly and professional, and the breakfast was just what we needed prior to driving back home to Southern California. Overall it was a great stay.

This hotel is centrally located. The breakfast is excellent and the staff members pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, but the carpet had holes and the chair was badly worn. The room was dark and uninviting. The bed was so-so. TV and Wi-Fi were fine.
