Comfort Inn Encinitas Near Legoland

Comfortable king-size bed and plentiful towels are the highlights of this stay. Also of note: a rather decent breakfast with 2-3 hot items; a waffle maker; cold cereal selection and bagels, toast/muffins and yogurt. It really started my day off nicely.

Front desk staff was pleasant. Price point is excellent. Room was nice and clean. Appeared to be freshly painted; no odors. TV and AC were on upon room entry which was a nice touch. Shower pressure was a bit low. Complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. Cons: Not a walkable area; small and not well kept pool and pool area. Overall would recommend.

Positive: The room was clean, updated, & quiet, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly with my Roku stick & didn't disconnect throughout the entirety of my stay, breakfast was simple, hot, & plentiful, & the front desk, maintenance, & housekeeping staff were all wonderful! Negative: Not a single issue or complaint - highly recommend!

The front desk staff was so nice so I hate to leave a bad review. However, we saw roaches in our upstairs room and we also found one in our car on our drive home. So now we're going to have to do a lot of work to keep them from getting into our home. It's frustrating to say the least. Beware if you're planning on staying here. We definitely won't be back.

I remember years ago when Heaven Gate people killed themselves there. At that time the rooms were much nicer. It is not just the hotel aging it is how the rooms are cleaned. Requesting towels for guests getting ready for a party. The principal renter was told "You were provided with 2. That should be enough." Given how small and thin they are I would need 3 myself. Hence, I was only visiting out-of-town friends. It isn't that difficult to clean the walls a couple of times a year. Housekeeping ladies are nice. But the front desk staff acts like you are putting them out or they are doing you a favor. I would never pay to stay there. Just my preference.

A very good hotel to stay.... Service and staff both are excellent. The breakfast buffet is also good. Overall 10/10

Positive: Room was nice Negative: Pool area was not unkept or clean. Breakfast hours are short. I ended up not eating because too many people were crammed in the room
