Cabin-like units in a camp-like setting under huge coastal conifers. Units are cozy and a little worn, but quiet and comfortable. Location next to Coastal National Monument is great for hikes and walks.

This resort has, as advertised, individual cabins. Think of it as a one bedroom single wide manufactured home. This is very nice because you do not share any walls with other rooms, you have lots of quiet privacy. The setting is beautiful, quiet, and clean. Parking is right next your cabin. The grounds and the the cabins are both well maintained. The queen size mattress was very soft and had a deep valley in the middle. Soft would be tolerable, however the valley in the middle was not acceptable to our sleeping habits. Similarly, the couch in the living space is quite broken down. I didn't expect luxury, because as advertised, it is a pull out bed. But when you sit on it the cushions are so worn out the you sink. We used the extra pillows in the room to make the couch somewhat more comfortable.

Very cute spot in a quiet area. We stayed here as a landing base and traveled to Fort Bragg, Mendocino and Napa. Clean, similar to glamping. Staff was really nice. No cell service and it’s definitely quiet and tucked away but a gorgeous locale.

The ride here was white knuckle thrilling. The fog added more fear, as if the sharp turns and switchbacks weren't terrifying enough! We were greeted kindly, and check-in was a breeze. Our unit is cozy, freestanding cabin. Fireplace and stove are gas. Stainless tub mini dishwasher, convection microwave, tons of built-in storage, starter supplies, and coffee. Washing machine and dryer are on site, at the check-in building. ($1.50wash/$1.00dry) We're here for the hiking and beach walking. It's coastal foggy after 4pm, so we're back in the comfort of our unit by sunset. Location is great. All the beaches offer something different, so don't be afraid to pull over!! Bowling Ball and Pelican are our favorites so far.

Utterly amazing to me how this resort could possibly have won all these awards for achieving standards of excellence in hospitality. These awards cannot possibly be for real. I would request my money back if this was a hotel. I must have complained at least four or five times about the noise the incredibly inconsiderate guests on site were making. I asked the staff at the front desk, the groundsmen, and yet seemingly practically nothing was done to stop these people from ruining everyone's week. These guests sat on their front porch and played guitar and sang LOUDLY [and really badly i have to note]. This was every single morning and every evening for HOURS. It was so loud you could hear them at the very last cabin on the property. I do not understand why it took the staff so long---DAYS to address the issue. I got tired of asking. Even while on a zoom business call I could hear them in our cabin. Instead of being able to rest and relax in our own cabin anytime, we would have to leave the property to not hear this noise. Notice the photo of the fire on the grounds? This was staff burning leaves and debris. The smoke was so bad it made clothes smell and was hard to breath. Again, given Californians have gone through fire smoke for the past several years, how can they possibly be doing this WHILE guests are staying there during the week. UNACCEPTABLE. A few notes: the grounds are nice in the trees, albeit small so don't count on a long walk anywhere. The location sucks as you will spend a lot of time driving up the coast to Mendo and beyond. The directions given to get there were horrible and ended up driving THIRTY miles through very narrow, scarey, twisting, mountainous roads, that a few of the locals told me they never drive due to how dangerous it is. Do not take Mountain View Rd. GPS does not work since cell service is very spotty so make sure you take the main route. BTW, wifi will cost you $45 for the week once you are there if you want or need it. Really upsetting for a vacation. NOT a vacation, nor one to remember. DO BETTER. I know you can, since apparently you have won awards for taking good care of your guests. Not. This. One.

Small and quaint. The room you get is actually a small cabin (a little bigger than the size of a tiny house). It's neat but signs of wear are definitely present when examining the details of the cabin, especially in the shower faucet, head, and handle. The mirror in the restroom was worn down in the corner, and the dishwasher is small and old. The interior doors are sliding doors and some of them squeak loudly as you slide them. However, these details did not take away from my trip. It is a cozy stay and otherwise quite nice. I personally hand wash my dishes and don't really use the interior doors anyway. The amount of windows give the room a nice natural atmosphere during the day. It is an intimate and quiet place to stay in. If a cozy vacation of relaxation is what you're looking for, I recommend staying here.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The grounds and cabin are very clean. The location is great because you're just minutes away from several state parks and lots of areas with beach access. We're really enjoying our time and look forward to coming back.

Pool and hot tub broken. No gas BBQ, only charcoal. Cool weather in late August. Not much locally except historic lighthouse. Nearby beach. Too cold to swim.
