The location is excellent. The hospitality and service is even better! Maddie at the front desk was our hero when my daughter had an issue with her flight and our planned mother-daughter vacation together was derailed. We had to make change to our reservations at hotel, restaurant, and spa and Maddie provided troubleshooting assistance and kindness in that difficult moment. Melanie and Oz were also wonderfully helpful before and during our trip. Our queen room in tower is clean, fresh, and quiet with a sweet little balcony and gorgeous sunset view of ocean and marina. The hotel has good amenities and all the staff on property are friendly. The Red Marlin restaurant and bar staff are welcoming and the menu options are great. Overall, we are thrilled with this place!

Great location - 10 minutes away from the airport and you don't need a rental car if you are staying at this area. Spectacular views - you do not need to drive around everywhere as you have the greatest view in front of you. Why go to Hawaii if you have these amazing views! Great food at Red Marlin; Pelican closes early so we haven't tried it. Everyone was amazing! Exceptional customer service. Highly recommended! We will be back and probably rent a bicycle and ride around the beach and the bay.

We just had an incredibly amazing stay at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina. Me and my husband celebrated our 9th year wedding anniversary for two nights at this hotel. It was phenomenal! I chose this hotel for its great location, the wonderful views, great food and lastly for the exceptional customer service! ||OZ, the manager was outstanding! He did such an extraordinary above and beyond job that made our trip truly special, pleasant and full of enjoyment. By request, we had been upgraded to the rooftop terrace 1 king bedroom, and it has unbelievable panoramic views. We are so blessed that it was available during the days of our stay. My husband surprisingly said, “why go to Hawaii when you have this spectacular views!”. We wish we could have stayed longer and watched the gorgeous view on our balcony. ||OZ also surprises us with anniversary gifts – wine and chocolate! Me and my husband felt extremely special. Excellent job, OZ! We will not be surprised that someday you will be the GM in the resort for being exceptional. Oz has an amazing team as well.||Matt (night shift front desk) did an incredible job handling a challenging reservation prior to the arrival date. Matt was very efficient, friendly and very patient. It was a smooth check out with Matt as well.||Maddie at the front desk who checked us in was a sweetheart. Great smiles and has an excellent customer service, what a great way to start the best vacation. She also remembers our name!||Ian from F&B was such a sweet boy. He was very courteous, professional and well-mannered. He was very knowledgeable about the hotel, and he recommended that we have dinner at Red Marlin. Ian was very gracious and kind. Keep up the great work, Ian!||The room was so spacious and very comfy. The housekeeper did an amazing job, the room was so clean and there was this beautiful fresh smell in the room. Omg the shower was wow! It was like a waterfall! Unbelievable!||Karen, the hostess at Red Marlin was very friendly and remembers our name. Karen treated us with respect. Karen was devoted and dedicated to her work from night to morning.||Eileen, our waitress was wonderful! She delivers a lot of knowledge on the dinner menu; she knows her product.||Rudy, the busser was funny and excited about his work. He is a hard-worker guy.||We had the best dinner at Red Marlin. I ordered the local ceviche of the night which was scallops. OMG that was mouth-watering and very soft. It has wonderful citrus flavors and avocados are a perfect combination. I wish there were a little more heat, but it was palatable! I can still taste it in my head! So yummy!!!||My husband ordered Roasted Icelandic Salmon, and it was pretty good! He said, it was the best salmon he ever had! He just wishes it was a little bigger lol...||And we both had margaritas for our drink, it was one of the best margaritas I had. Good mixture. Not too sweet, light but sure I did get a kick which I love!||In the morning, we had breakfast at the Red Marlin, and we ordered California Steak burrito. It was filling and delicious! Nicholas was very nice and very attentive.||Overall, it was the most unforgettable and truly remarkable experience! We will come back, and we will highly recommend the property to everyone coming to San Diego. You will have the best vacation ever!

They charge a $39 per day "resort fee" that covers gym, water fountains, etc. ||They charge $50 per night for parking. ||The staff did not mention those fees - I found them on my emailed check out receipt (not even in person). ||The convenience market closes at noon everyday. ||The check in process was great & they let us check in 5 hours early. ||Staff is friendly, rooms were clean.

The experience we had during our stay at the Hyatt Regency was exceptional. Everyone was genuine and friendly and the service was flawless.||It's hard to beat the gorgeous weather and scenery of San Diego's Mission Bay and yet what we were talking about on the plane ride home? The service and consistent attitude of the team from check in to housekeeping to banquets to dining--made us all feel special and appreciated. This is an outstanding team and kudos to the leadership!

This is a great little hotel with a neat design (semi resort feel). Has double outdoor water slide, walkable to beach, nice pool and restaurants. The staff was very helpful during our conference. A bit pricey and a “resort fee”, but that seems normal in Us now.

Horrifying Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Experience - Avoid at All Costs! My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay was an absolute nightmare, riddled with incompetence and appalling customer service. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this hotel has serious issues. My assigned room was disgustingly dirty – dust was caked everywhere, and the room reeked. It was clear it hadn't been properly cleaned, if at all. Requesting a room change did cost me to pay for an upgrade. As if the initial room debacle wasn't enough, the hotel's handling of my reservation was equally disastrous. Despite attending a conference at the hotel, they claimed my reservation was only for one night, citing confirmation from the organizers. While they promised to extend my stay when I clarified that I need two-night stay, the real trouble began the next day. Without any prior communication, they deactivated my room access and essentially tried to kick me out, claiming they were overbooked. To add insult to injury, they never even bothered to contact me directly about this; I was simply locked out of my room! This entire experience was a masterclass in how not to run a hotel. The combination of a filthy room, reservation mismanagement, and the shocking lack of communication and respect regarding the overbooking situation is beyond comprehension. The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay clearly prioritizes profit over guest satisfaction. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone. They have ruined any trust I had in the Hyatt brand.
