Quality Suites San Diego Otay Mesa

Service desk is hit and miss. The lady that helped us early in the day with the reservation was very nice while the one in the afternoon when we checked in seemed less friendly. I like the fact that the only way in is through the main lobby, it felt more secure this way. The room itself needs a makeover but I liked that we had a microwave and mini fridge in addition to the TV. The wallpaper throughout the room and bathroom was peeling in various places and the HVAC unit didn't seem to cool very well but luckily the weather wasn't warm enough for it to become an issue. I did like the fact that in addition to the 2 queen beds the room also had a couch with a pull out bed. What I didn't like was that the couch had random stains on it that you could clearly see but no one bothered to clean it. The beds were clean and comfortable at least. The parking lot was in good condition and seemed secure. I thought the price was a bit steep considering the condition of the room but it was the closest one to our destination for the following day. The area the hotel is in seems a bit sketchy but it's conveniently right off the freeway and there are gas stations, an AutoZone and a few places to eat nearby within walking distance but I'd recommend driving instead.

Positive: Not a thing, The front desk staff were not friendly. Negative: the room was nasty. There were blood stains on the walls and on the sofa bed pull out mattress. The blood stains were so nasty looking that I check out and ask for a refund. and I was asked to check out for complaining about the blood stains.

Positive: Nothing after the worst customer service I have ever experienced Negative: The pull out bed Mattress had NOTHING NO SHEET NO BED COVER NOTHING then we ask the lady in the front desk and tells us so rudely that she woild have to charge us that she is doing us a favor

FRONT DESK LADY was SUPER RUDE!! I WILL NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL EVER!!! The lady working at the front desk was acting way off, super rude and very sarcastic in the whole conversation we had with her as well as the elderly lady that was also dealing with this crazy person before us. Any question that we asked her she responded in a very sarcastic kind of way. I think she was bothered by us arriving to the to hotel and we interrupted her phone call with her boyfriend, and she proceeded to make our arrival the worse ever to any hotel we ever been to. She proceeded to cancel our reservation because we dared to asked her what was wrong with her and her attitude and we ended up sleeping in our truck, family of 5 with 3 small children. At this time, I'm still working with my bank because the hotel didn't reimbursed what I paid them. Very bad experience and I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Positive: It's proximity to the Cross Border Express. I recommend only recommend this hotel for its proximity Negative: I arrived when it was dark and the signage to the hotel could have been better (larger). The receptionist was surly; made sure i knew I interrupted her break and when I asked whether it was safe to leave luggage in the trunk of the care she took offense.

Racist and if you’re on a budget, don’t give them a deposit. They’re going to steal it. It’s been a whole year and I can’t seem to contact the manager. So I’ll politely get the police involved if nobody reaches back out to me..
