NillHonestly the only good thing about this place is the food at 980 Prime. I go down there from Denver often just for that. Otherwise, the staff sucks and are unprofessional, there is clearly a management problem. The hotel looks nice, but our first time staying here the patio room was unfinished, and then 8 months later we stayed in the same room type and it was STILL unfinished. The "casino" is also terrible, looks nice but really small, only like one of each table game and they are all over crowded, the dealers and pit bosses are clueless. Another player gave my gf his seat bc she was tired. I was gambling 10x what the other players were, and the pit boss had the nerve to tell her she had to give up the seat for active players. I cashed out and left and never went back to the casino because of that. The buffet is a joke, especially for the price, the food was basically inedible, can get better breakfast at a gas station, and when I complained at checkout and asked for the charge to be removed I was told they couldn't do that, when I asked for a manager the desk clerk refused saying the manager wouldn't do anything. The bars are empty and the bartenders are missing half the time, when they aren't they don't know what they are doing anyway, and the booze selection is poor, a waitress even laughed at me when I asked for scotch that only costs like $42 a bottle. In the morning, a Saturday no less, room service didn't answer so I went down to the coffee shop which should have been open for 2-3 hours at that point and had to stand there and wait like 20 min even after the kid showed up to work it, all I wanted was a coffee and milk(stomach was upset), I asked for a large milk and was charged $4 for a tiny plastic cup, like you get at a water cooler. Save you money and stay elsewhere, you aren't getting anything by paying double what the other hotels here charge.

★★★★★Chamonix Hotel is far and away the MOST elegant hotel in Cripple Creek, CO. We have enjoyed this fantastic hotel many time and it never disappoints. Our room was clean with two comfortable queen beds. The bathroom comes with robes and personal shower accoutrements. Check-in was fast the easy. The luggage bell hop service was excellent.| All the additional hotel services were open, easy to locate with professional service.|The casnio is open, smart, modern. The original Bronco Billy's is part of Chamonix which gives you many more games to play. Overall our stay was 5 Star.| Come to Chamonix Hotel and Casino with clean fresh air, vista views, gold and silver mining places to see and much more. The ride alone is worth the trip.

NillOur stay at Chamonix Casino and Hotel was beyond amazing! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The highlight of our trip was thanks to our incredible host, Michael, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He gave us tickets to see Steve Perry—a once-in-a-lifetime experience we’ll never forget! The service, atmosphere, and hospitality were top-notch. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Chamonix, and an extra special thanks to Michael!

★★★Me and my wife stayed here for the weekend recently. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was great but don’t use the mini bar before you see the prices. The bed was clean but seemed old as both sides were caved in. The roof top pool was heated and the weekend wasn’t too cold to be out so we did try the pool. After getting out though we both had itchy skin. We played in there casino for about an hour and a half or so and not one person came around for drinks. And I didn’t see a lot of people drinking there unless they were at the lobby bar. We utilized the valet and that was great. The whole facility seemed clean and entertaining but heard a lot of people complaining about how they were losing money quickly. After our personal experience we went elsewhere to play. The Bronco Billy’s that is attached was much much better gaming and drink wise. As a matter of fact all other casinos were great about that! All in all I would say we had a great time in Cripple Creek we happened to be there the last weekend for the ice carving contest and ice castle was amazing as well. We will be back just won’t stay here again.

NillWe got lucky and upgraded to a suite (which was beautiful), and 980 Prime was amazing! Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with the spa experience, which tainted our stay. The spa was the reason we came. I went to check in for my spa appointment and was told I didn't have an appointment by the assistant manager. I showed her where I called and made the appointment and the response was sorry we are full. I explained that our room package was two nights and a $200 spa credit. After expressing my frustration and pressing a bit, due to coming her exclusively for the spa, it took me asking what to do with the credit before any options were offered. She said they would comp me for a later time (after I explained how frustrated I was multiple times) or I could use it in products, if I took the comp it would mean another stay. As I was walking out the other front desk attendant asked me my phone number. I verified it and come to find out I had an appointment they just entered my name wrong. So now I’m starting off my treatment frustrated, when it should be a relaxing experience. The treatment was great, but I did have to walk outside the spa in the hallway in my robe, with nothing underneath. Which is by a restaurant and convention hall and would be uncomfortable if there was a lot people around. After the treatment, I wanted to use the spa amenities ( steam room, experiential shower, and sauna). They are co-ed (no big deal just bring a swimsuit) and they are located one floor up. They had no one available to take me up to that area, which you need an attendant key to enter. The assistant manager gave directions to get there, again into a general hallway and common elevator to the 3rd floor, while in my robe. I had to go outside by the pool and sneak in through some potted trees that were placed there to keep people out. The amenities were nice expect the experiential shower had a piece of notebook paper saying it was out of order. Warning there is a discrepancy between the website and what they bill. The website says that a 20% gratuity is added to the bill. No they do not add gratuity... It is an amenities fee. I asked about this and the assistant manager is aware and said they put a ticket in to have it changed, it sounded like it's been that way a while. Really this isn't a big deal but it kinda felt a bit bait and switch and was the icing on the cake to my frustrating experience. Plus not all amenities were fully operational. They highlight the fact they are a five-star spa but it did not feel like a five-star experience. Some of it maybe I'm just the unlucky one for the day….

NillCame to town to visit family, left with a master’s degree in disappointment. This hotel looks fancy—until you realize it’s just Vegas pricing with a Walmart soul. The walls are so thin I know more about the couple next door’s relationship issues than my own. The staff must have taken their hospitality training at the carnival ring toss booth because getting decent service is just as impossible as landing that plastic ring. No housekeeping on the second day—guess they figured I should embrace the “roughing it” experience. The phone in my room was purely decorative, much like their concept of customer service. They also didn’t bother refilling the coffee or water bottles, because who needs hydration when you have disappointment? Trying to find the pool and spa felt like an escape room designed by someone with a grudge against humanity—two elevators, three corridors, and a prayer later, I found it. And if you get hungry at 2 AM? Too bad. The food options during actual service hours are so underwhelming they make airplane meals look gourmet. If you want to pretend you’re living the high life while secretly suffering, congratulations—you’ve found your paradise.

NillMan, just when I thought they were getting better at being organized with their patrons. I had an interesting issue today. I have repeatedly gone to this location since the very first opening which was on New Year's Eve which was a disaster. I wrote a review about it and gave it another chance several times.... Each time they seem to be getting a little bit better and better And each time I would write a review reflecting that. There are simple little things with service that weren't fantastic, but overall the staff is amazing. They're friendly. It's a good environment. The rooms even though there are little things you can pick apart are very nice and clean. I have made it a point to go at least a couple times a month and always gamble in their casino. Never leave the property and I gamble a decent amount of money. They definitely make their money off of me being there. This past weekend I went online to book a room using the promo code that was online. Reservation went through no problem. I got a confirmation email. Everything was golden..... Then unbeknownst to me I was told I had to pay The best available rate instead of the comp rate I had booked online. Again, I booked this through their website using my players card number using their offer online... Then am suddenly told they're not going to stand by that offer. My husband and I had planned on utilizing the spa during this stay so that I could review that being that it was the only area of the hotel we have yet to try . It's not the end of the world, but it definitely puts them another step back in being able to claim true customer service experiences and has left a bad taste in my mouth. Basically they're not consistent. And even though the staff is friendly and nice, the company itself is inconsistent and full of just enough minor annoyances to make it not worth going. Definitely going to start going back to Blackhawk instead.

NillI absolutely love this place and will definitely be staying again. It's so beautiful and the rooms are so nice. I was surprised at how inexpensive the rooms are for such a nice hotel. I was just looking for a place in Cripple Creek with a heated pool and found so much more. It has a heated rooftop pool, sauna and spa. The lobby is a gorgeous casino and all I could think about is how much my late mom would have loved to stay here and come down from her room and gamble. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I felt like our bell lady Shelli was an old friend. She was so helpful with how to get to the pool, info on the shuttle to the ice sculptures, how to get room service, she even offered to check on my daughter in the room when my car lock was giving the valets lots of trouble. I wish I had gotten the Valets names because my car locks did give them some trouble and they were very patient and didn't appear to be upset at all about walking to the garage twice to get it open for me. I don't write many reviews but I just enjoyed this whole experience. We didn't want to go out in the cold again so we ordered room service. Very big portions and fantastic burgers. We figured we would pay the same amount if we had gone out somewhere. Amy was super sweet and helpful also. I will be staying again soon and will follow up with another review 😁
