NillRecently stayed at the Victor Hotel. I would love to give it better stars, but I wouldn't stay here again. First off, the elevator was not working and there was no communication about it at all. Had to walk up the 4 flights of stairs, which would have been ok, but the higher up you got the steeper they got and more narrow. Rooms were decent, but ours was missing the door knob to the inside of the door. The ceiling fan didn't work and the heat was turned up so high that we had to sleep with the window open all night (even after turning it off). Also, one of the "clean" towels had someone else's hair on it. Location was pretty good. The town was interesting and if you are into exploring old mining towns there was a lot to see. It was close to Cripple Creek so there was something to go and do there too. Overall, was not satisfied with our stay.

NillWe loved this historic hotel. The rooms were loaded with character, comfy beds & adequate accommodation. I wasn’t so sure about the check in, but once we started the process it wasn’t hard at all. There’s a cool, hole-in-the-wall bars right next door, that you can actually look down into from the upper floors.

★★★★We searched for a hotel near Cripple Creek and found this hotel. I LOVED The bed! It was so comfortable! I could have slept in it all day! The rooms were clean. When we walked in it was too warm, but we adjusted the temp and it was fine. I received a text telling me the elevator was not working. They asked our situation. I said we were in our 60s and could manage the stairs. Boy were there stairs...not that bad. We needed the exercise.||I would stay at this hotel again!

NillIt is historic.. that is for sure. The room was very cool, exposed brick, and a radiator. The bathroom was good, nothing crazy. The issue was the self-checkin… Good in theory but I felt pretty unsafe not having seen a single soul aside from the sweet housekeeping lady. I didn’t like how all the unoccupied rooms all had their doors open. On top of that, they give you a code for the outside doors so you can access the building but the front door was left unlocked the entire time. That combined with the open doors to all the rooms was enough to make me uncomfortable. I know it’s a small town, but what if someone came in? There are cameras but it just didn’t feel safe at all in that regard. We didn’t end up staying the night because I could not get comfortable enough to sleep there. Oh, and we found a random working lighter in the sheets. Anyways.. cool to visit and experience during the busy season maybe? We stayed in the dead of winter so I do recognize that we were there during the off-season. Regardless I think there are a few quick fixes that would make guests feel safer and more comfortable! We have no ill feelings towards the property or the owners/hosts, just isn’t for us.

NillThoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful remnant of days gone by. The rooms were clean and warm, and the modern touches, television, and lighted mirror did not detract from the charm in the least. The staff were welcoming friendly. 10/10 would return

★★★★Interesting place. Self check in and we were the only guests.cool place if you like history . Do not book through Booking.com....it sent me to a partner sight that had $54 worth of Hidden charges. Booking.com has become a scam . ||Try booking directly with hotel.

NillBeautiful hotel! The room was clean and spacious. The old timey radiator kept us warm and cozy on a cold, windy night. The museums and town shops of Victor and nearby Cripple Creek were operating on off-season hours, so not much to do on weekday, but it was a great opportunity to relax.
