Red Carpet Inn Stamford, CT

Classic suburban motel dated and a bit dirty. Stamford is not a city I would revisit, but for a “cheap” night on the way to New England it was fine. Fast food nearby.

Worst hotel experience of my life. This place is disgusting. Everything is dirty and outdated. The TV is older than I am and the cable doesn’t work. The bed smelled like someone died in it and I guarantee they never wash or change the bedding. I contracted scabies from staying here. I plan on calling the health department and pursuing legal action. I highly recommend you stay far, far away from this dump if you know what is good for you.

Not to pile on, but I don’t recommend staying here. The pictures they show don’t match reality, the room smelled like a combination of dead animal and cleaning solution, the people above me played music and walked around all night long, the floors were spongy and uneven (!), there didn’t appear to be any hot water, the toilet was super hard to flush, and in general I felt very unsafe due to the sketchy clientele. Pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel. On the third night, I woke up in the middle of the night hearing some weird noises coming from behind the tv. When I checked what was going, there was a hole in the wall. There were 2 mouses trying to get food and making noises. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! TOTALLY DISGUSTING!

Positive: "" Negative: We pulled in the parking lot and didn?t get out of the car. We ended up getting a much nicer hotel for a little more. We felt very unsafe and would not bring our children in that hotel.

All around terrible stay. We selected a non smoking room and when we were arrived it was smoking. Asked to move and the lady was rude but switched to a non smoking room. The room wasn’t clean but not dirty either. The heart jacuzzi tub didn’t even work which was disappointing. Bed was uncomfortable. The parking lot was messy and full of pot holes. Was so hard to get in and out of the parking lot due to location. When checking out the guy was asleep at the desk and had to wake up. The maid was the only nice person we met and was nice enough to give us more towels and TP because we didn’t have any. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I do not recommend staying here. The security is poor, and there were attempts to break into the rooms, which made me feel unsafe. I wish there was an option to give zero stars
