★★★★★This was my first stay at the Sylvan and I'll be back. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was fantastic from the moment of check-in with Ro and Mike, to the checkout the next day. The social hour is a bit unique at this Kimpton as they sometimes had snacks to go along with the wine, or seasonal cocktail. It was great to hang out in the lounge area by the fireplace and have some drinks while playing the games that were stacked on the shelf. It felt very warm and homey.||We only were staying one night and didn't get to take advantage of all of beautiful grounds and spaces, including the swimming pool and outdoor dining. The space in the courtyard looked awesome and I'd love to be back there in warmer weather.||We ate at The Betty for dinner with live jazz, and again for breakfast. Great ambiance and the food was perfect for us. I'd highly recommend at least getting some evening cocktails there.||The rooftop lounge is sweet, with a truly beautiful view and good vibes. Part of it is outdoor with heaters, but we stayed inside.||Our room was great - very quiet, extremely comfortable beds, very nice sized bathroom, and well decorated to fit the style. We had everything we needed.

NillStayed here for a quick weekend getaway! This hotel is in a pretty good location! A lot of shopping and dining options are a quick drive away from the hotel. Parking is was easy, since it’s valet only. The $50 nightly valet fee is a little pricey, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary for that area. The attendants were nice and efficient. You can call ahead or text the number in the ticket, if you want your car ready and waiting. The check-in process was smooth and painless! The entire front desk staff for the shifts we encountered were superb! The nightly social hour is a nice touch! Wine and some snacks are a good start to an evening around town. The daily coffee and tea options hit the spot as well! The rooms were nicely renovated! It’s got a very modern, yet classy feel to it! The room was clean and pretty spotless! Only thing negative I can nitpick is the shower door, or lack of one! The half glass, half open shower ain’t for me! Overall, It was a great stay! If I’m in the area again, I won’t hesitate to book here.

NillI had such an amazing stay here! The location was excellent, my room was clean, and the hotel itself is super cute. The front desk staff were literally the best, especially Michael. Michael went above and beyond for me during my two day stay at The Sylvan. He was so helpful, super kind, and exemplified great service. The only issue I had here was valet. Majority of the valet staff were nice but a few of them were a bit rude. Other than that, I would highly recommend staying here.

NillThe hotel was clean and the decor was nice and modern. However, there was a mandatory $50 valet fee that was not made clear when we booked the hotel. The way it was stated it looked like the $50 valet fee was optional if we wanted to use the valet but we were "forced" to do it because there were no other options. So we ended up paying almost a third of original cost extra for the hotel stay. That has left an extremely sour taste in our experience of our hotel stay.

NillBesides the excessive valet parking rate $50 (at the moment) everything was good. Service was incredibly friendly and all of the team members loved our pups and treated them like another guest. They were offered home made treats and all. As far as dog relief stations, there’s not much green area besides whatever is out front by the plants. Room was incredibly clean and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains did their job. This building is older so expect to hear doors close in the hallway. Coffee is available in the day and we had the chance to enjoy social hour with free wine and we even enjoyed tacos on Tuesday:) Pets stay free which is a huge bonus. Location is fine. We didn’t explore much of the immediate area but there’s a Trader Joe’s right next to the hotel. They offer a texting system to request your vehicle from valet when you’re heading down to the lobby:)

★★★★★My husband and I came to Atlanta for the very 1st time for a family member’s wedding. The wedding party suggested The Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in Buckhead as one of the hotels that’s close in proximity to where the wedding was held. ||Upon arrival, the valet were great with assisting us with our luggage and also very nice. We had arrived quite early so we weren’t sure if we could check into the hotel yet. Michael at the front desk greeted us with such warmth and southern hospitality and he allowed us to check into our hotel room early. Usually when we check into hotels, it’s typically just that and we are assigned to our room, but it was a very welcoming experience. ||Once we got into the room, we noticed we only had 1 set of towels, and the bed looked as if someone had set on it. No big deal. My husband called the front desk to get more towels and another comforter for our bed. It took a while at first but the girl at the front desk (I think her name’s Ve) made sure it was delivered expeditiously. What was so great about that situation was that Michael knocked on our door to make sure our room was to our liking and extended his services for if we needed anything else during our stay. ||The room is very modern and clean, there’s construction across the street but not too noisy and the housekeepers were nice also. There’s a restaurant next to the lobby (Betty’s) that has a very chic aesthetic and so is the roof top bar, which has a great view of the city. ||We plan to visit Atlanta again and we will certainly stay at this hotel. Although, our request for certain items took a minute but the service provided, the cleanliness of the hotel and the bar is why we give this hotel 5 stars.

NillStaff were great! Very respectful, playful, and inviting. They absolutely loved seeing our child and treated us very well. 5pm wine is always amazing 😉 Room was spacious, clean, relaxing, and exactly what I needed it to be. I’m here for business so the hotel needs to be relaxing. This hotel made the list to visit again. PS I definitely ate the gourmet beef jerky in the room. Great selection of snacks!
