avid hotel Perry-National Fairground Area, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is modern with easy on and off to 1-75. I felt it could have felt newer and nicer if housekeeping tweeted nitty-griitty attentiveness. Light bulb burned out. Soap dispenser in shower empty. Grubby feeling floor .Freshening and details could really improve the stay. Good but has room for improvement. Comfortable bed. Nice television.

We stayed here for the night on our way home to Florida and it was a really good experience. The hotel was well taken care of, from the parking area and grounds, to the inviting lobby, it gave a good first impression. Our room was spacious, with a modern, minimalist style that is perfect for short term stays. The bed was one of the most comfortable, with clean, soft linens and plenty of pillows that you could choose from firm or soft. Breakfast was good with sausage/egg biscuits, and yogurts - better than sugary breakfast items. Cofee, tea and hot chocolate is available 24 hours. They had a nice indoor pool, but we didnt get to use it.|Cassandra at the check in desk was the example of the kind of staff every hotel should have at their reception, friendly, welcoming and helpful.|This was our first time staying at an Avid hotel, and we'll be on the lookout for these properties from now on during our travels.

We checked in at 10 pm, and the staff was okay. Although I'm an IHG member, they treated me like a non-member, and we didn't receive an upgraded room. (Should I have asked for it? He didn't seem interested, so I didn't bother.) The room was fine and clean, but there was a strong smell of carpet. The dryer was old and sticky, the room has carpet cleaning detergent smell. Breakfast was simple and tech-savvy, with an automatic pancake machine that the kids loved, and a coffee machine that I enjoyed. The room service staff was courteous. Overall, the hotel was okay and the price was reasonable. It was close to highway, convenient to drive

Last Friday the transmission on our car decided to go out on the highway headed to Hampton, GA and we made it to the exit in Perry. We decided to make our way to Avid (we have never previously stayed at one before). The man at the front desk, Eric, was more than helpful. He got us into a room quickly and also put us on the bottom floor. I had broke my ankle the Monday before and was on crutches. He accommodated us in so many ways and was so helpful throughout us trying to figure out a solution to our car issue. We decided on a rental and for transport company to pick up the car to take it back to central Florida. After the rental and checking out we headed to Hampton, leaving the car behind. We told him a transport was coming for car and left the key with him. I can’t comment Eric enough for all of his help. Also, the room was very accommodating and spotless. We travel to a lot of NASCAR races and surely will be looking out for these hotels to stay in.

This was our last spot to stay on our road trip. We LOVE Avid hotels. This was our 2nd time. VERY clean & new. It happened to be Superbowl Sunday, so it was very nice to have such a big beautiful new t.v. to watch the game. My favorite thing is fresh brewed coffee ☕ 24/7 in the lobby, plus continental breakfast every day before 9:30 a.m. Thanks Amanda for the excellent service.

First, the staff was incredible. Keisha, Boo, Liz, Drina...so many more who were great but I didn't get their names. Super friendly, super helpful, super need a pay raise. They were very flexible with many of their hotel policies, and to that we are very thankful. To management...keep the staff who make people feel at home and we keep coming back! The sleeping quarters and bathroom were spacious. Bed was incredible. There was plenty of parking, and it was quiet (location and rooms...one block off of the interstate but we didn't hear any traffic). All guests were cordial and quiet. No parking lot parties, no drug deals, etc. It felt very, very safe. We were caught up in a late evacuation because of Hurricane Milton and ended up finding this avid hotel on the road via online searches. 440 miles away from home, and we had driven all night. We had already booked multiple hotels online from the road (prior to this one) only to find the hotels were overbooked and our online reservations were cancelled. So we started calling, and found that this avid had one room left. We paid double the online price, which is unfortunate. We'll remember all of this the next time we're traveling this route, which is often. So if we stay again, it'll be because of the good people who went above and beyond for us. If we don't stay, it'll be because of the poor implementation of the "supply and demand" practice during a natural disaster by the owners and management. That's life, and we accept it. It was ultimately our decision to stay and pay. I just hope management takes the extra (double) amount we paid and shares it with the good people who perform on the front line...the customer-focused work in their hotel. They deserve that bonus and so much more based on our experience. All to say...thank you all so much for a pleasant stay given the circumstances!

We were passing through and looking for a good place to sleep for the night. We've stayed at an Avid location before and appreciated the simple yet functional space. This location offered the same convenience. I'd recommend this location if you're looking for a place to lay your head for the night. The only issue we encountered was the shampoo bottle was empty.

Excellent service from hotel staff. We had early morning meetings every day, but the staff set out breakfast early to accommodate our schedule. Made our long days at least start off on the right foot. Beds are comfortable and the location was great!
