As a Hilton member, I expect a certain level of service and comfort, but unfortunately, this hotel fell short in multiple areas during my recent stay. The main issue was the ongoing renovations, which were disruptive and poorly managed.||Renovation Disruptions:|The hotel was under renovation, with drilling and hammering starting as early as 9:00 AM and continuing until 6:00 PM, even on a Saturday and Sunday. While renovations are understandable, the noise level was unbearable, making it impossible to relax. My room was on the 3rd floor, directly beneath the construction on the 4th floor, which made it feel like the work was happening right next door.||I called the front desk to ask about the renovation schedule and was initially told they didn’t know when the noise would stop. Later, when I followed up in person, I was informed they were working on Sunday as well because they were behind schedule. Despite requesting a room change, I was told to come back the next day after 11:30 AM, which was inconvenient since I would be out of the hotel from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.||Room Issues:|On top of the noise, the room itself had several maintenance problems:||The bathroom sink only had extremely hot water, making it unusable.|The window shades didn’t roll up.|The bedside lamp’s bulb was out.|I reported these issues at checkout, but there was no real effort to address them. The staff member joked about the water temperature but didn’t offer any compensation or solutions.||Breakfast Problems:|Adding to the disappointment, there was no hot breakfast available because the cook didn’t show up. This felt like yet another example of the hotel’s lack of organization and attention to detail.||Customer Service:|Overall, customer service seemed to be an afterthought. The staff were polite but unresponsive and didn’t make any meaningful attempts to resolve the issues I faced.||Final Thoughts:|I do not recommend this hotel, especially if renovations are ongoing. Listening to drilling and hammering is not the relaxing experience one expects from a Hilton property. Combined with poor room conditions, lack of clear communication, and subpar customer service, my stay was far from satisfactory. Hilton members and other travelers should consider other options until these issues are addressed.

During business week stay i witnessed amazing teamwork and customer service by Christa. Typically Krista works the night shift welcoming and checking in late travelers, as she works night shift. Yesterday during rare snow storm Christa stayed after her shift to prepare breakfast as the kitchen staff had all called in. She made sure there was plenty of food options and hot coffee. She smiled and greeted people as they entered the dining area until enough if the day shift staff arrived, well after the end of her typical shift. Thank you Krista for your caring and exhibition of amazing teamwork work. This is my go to hotel when traveling through Savannah and loved seeing all the great changes with the remodeling and refreshing this hotel is going through.

You learn so much about a company when you are injured or have on a cast. I currently have a cast on my leg and use a cane to walk. I’m also elderly. Tried to ask for help TWICE today was rudely waved at told bye bue from the lady at the counter who was too busy hanging at the bar to help me. Then when I got stuck trying to get my things on the elevator I called the front desk to ask for help. I was told , “ there’s no one in charge or manager on duty bye bye” A very nice Hispanic man who might have been a custodian or maintenance man helped me when he realized I had fallen trying to unlock my door with my phone. I’ve been here 30 minutes. Great customer care for injured and elderly. What happened to you Hilton? Your prices are the same the customer service is in line with motel 6.

I read the positive reviews and didn't recognize the place. I had neglected to read the negative or we might have asked NOT to be placed on the third floor. The renovations are still ongoing and I wish they waited until 9:00 AM to start as they had earlier.||One reason we chose this hotel was its proximity to the bus route to town, only to be told by am arrogant guy when we were checked (I didn't catch his name) that there was no bus, it didn't stop nearby, we would have to drive to the bus to get into town. We had booked dinner reservations in the Old Town days earlier since it was Valentine's Day and thought the bus would work. After he said this, we presumed the route had changed after we booked it. However, the next day we saw the nearby bus stop with a bus. We have no clue why he said that.| |Some reviewers mentioned a wonderful front desk person. She must have quit or been off when we arrived, because we had the arrogant guy and a very grumpy woman while we were there. ||They take away the coffee at 11:00 am, unlike most Hilton family places where there is coffee all day. ||Parking is limited in part due to the construction, and the parking garage at the adjacent Hampton Inn is available. Of course that adds to the walk to the room. ||There is no free breakfast (again, odd for Hilton family). We sometimes don't eat it, but to be charged $15 for a typical free buffet "breakfast" was strange. We went out on our own. We should have realized there would be a charge, but just didn't think of checking since it is so rare.||The impression we got was that management was not kind to workers, or the woman at the front desk wouldn't have been so unpleasant (I've found it filters down). |One afternoon, and the morning we checked out, there was a young woman who was nice. She did her best, and was the one brighter light.||The worst thing was this: The alarms in our room sounded after 9:00 pm, maybe closer to 10:00 pm, and the lights in the hallway were flashing. No one in the hotel let us know what was going on. I called the front desk and was blithely told not to worry. Another guest in the hall told me there was very hot water leaking from the second floor into the lobby. Then, my husband went to flush the toilet, and we had no water. I called the front desk again and I was told, oh, it should be on by midnight. We wanted to brush our teeth and shower before bed and had hoped to get to bed early to get a good night's sleep before the pounding and drilling began. Another disappointment. ||All in all, I would not recommend staying here. Too many shortcomings when there are many other choices.

This was a very bizarre hotel experience. The person at the front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. When we entered the room. Everything looked great. But as we started to settle in, we noticed a lot of problems. There was no place to hang clothes. All they had were cubbies. The bathroom was very small and had no exhaust fan. When we turned on the sink, it sputtered air for about 30 seconds and then a milky white liquid started coming out. It finally turned into water after a couple minutes. The shower was very narrow, which was made worse by the placement of the grab bar and the towel bar. There was also very little pressure from the shower head, and it took about 10 minutes to actually get warm. The fitted sheet on the bed was too small and would come up off the edges anytime we sat on the bed or moved. The bathroom door didn't have a space for the latch, so you couldn't really securely close the door.

Very bad stay! We should have been told that they were remodeling when the room was booked. My wife battles epilepsy and the noise was so bad she had several seizures! We ask for the workers to stop, but was told by a woman who cleaned the rooms that they didn’t have the authority to tell them to stop the ungodly noise the workers were making. They also started working way before the checkout times. Totally unexceptable non caring attitudes! The breakfast wasn’t good at all. Your average free breakfast at motels was better than this! We will not be back.

I had booked a five-day stay but checked out after just one night .The first lady who assisted me lacked customer service skills and was rude. I was given the wrong room, which led to me accidentally trying to unlock a room that was already occupied. In my actual room, the water was coming out white , and I was advised to let it run for a little while. After 12 minutes with no improvement, I gave up and turned it off. The only positive part of my stay was the young lady who assisted me at checkout—she was friendly and professional.

I probably should have read some of these reviews before booking at this hotel again. It had been a little while since I had stayed here, but the renovations seem to be going on for years. I had a billing issue and the front desk does not answer their phone, including when Hilton support tries to call them. The comments regarding the poor breakfast, dirt and noise are all accurate as well.
