What a lovely staff we encountered at our stay here. We checked in across from the hospital before some expected severe weather to avoid driving up the day before a planned surgery worrying about the weather. Overnight a rare (predicted) snow and ice storm made the area impassable for car traffic. The hospital ended up cancelling the surgery and we were stuck! Luckily Olive Garden was open for a few hours the first day and then Outback was open for a few hours the following day and both are walkable (although trickier with snow and ice!).||||There are no new hotels in this area and none of them have great reviews but I needed to be close to hospital so I chose this one based on my Marriott status. The hotel is older and does not seem to have been remodeled so the staff are dealing with a more difficult maintenance scenario, for sure. My room was clean and my bedding was fresh. It was simple with an older (non streaming) tv with basic channels. There was not a lot of noise but it was also not their busy season. What really stood out for me was the human interaction of the staff, who were personable amd friendly and really cared about my mom. The owner of this hotel should give them all a raise. ||||Manager Correna and her Jocelyn, Georgia and Warner all managed to get there in spite of the weather (I think Jocelyn had to walk to work through these horrible conditions) were all fantastic and took great care of my mother and I. Most of Savannah was completely shut down but these people were hard at work and making sure we were ok. Surgery was rescheduled and we will be back again next week.

My husband and I did a staycation only for the following to occur and the we were advised that no damage was done so we will not be compensated for damage. However photos and emails have been attached: Dear Corporate Representative I am reaching out regarding the extremely disappointing and unsafe experience my husband and I had during our stay at Sornghill Suite from February 7th to 8th. I would like to formally request a direct conversation with a corporate representative to discuss the mishandling of this situation and the lack of professionalism we encountered. Upon check-in, I had to repeatedly return to the front desk to have my key card reprogrammed due to continuous access issues. After finally receiving a properly programmed key, I was given a room that did not match my original booking. When I raised this concern, I was told that because I booked through a third-party service, nothing could be done to rectify the mistake. I requested to speak with management but was advised I would have to wait until the morning of February 8th. On the morning of our departure, at approximately 8:45 AM, we were preparing to check out. Due to my anxiety and PTSD related to glass shower doors, I initially kept the shower door slightly open while I showered. When my husband attempted to close the shower door before his turn, the glass unexpectedly shattered, causing abrasions and swelling to his left arm. This traumatic event triggered an anxiety attack for me. I immediately contacted the front desk to report the incident. The clerk informed me that she would reach out to her manager. After speaking with management, she advised that the only compensation being offered was a refund for the night’s stay and a future free stay at the hotel. Given the severity of the incident including my husband’s injury and the psychological distress I experienced this resolution was entirely inadequate. Additionally, I should have also been compensated for receiving a double room instead of the king suite I originally booked. When I requested corporate contact information to escalate the matter, the front desk clerk attempted to obtain it but later informed me that her manager refused to provide any corporate details. She ultimately resorted to searching online for contact information. I sincerely appreciate her efforts, but the refusal of her superior to provide basic corporate contact details was not only unprofessional but also indicative of poor customer service. This entire experience from the room assignment issue to the safety hazard of the faulty shower door was unacceptable. The situation was handled with a lack of urgency and professionalism, and I felt disregarded during an incredibly vulnerable moment. I am seeking a genuine resolution to this matter and an appropriate response to the unsafe conditions we encountered. Please let me know how we can proceed with discussing this matter further. I would greatly appreciate a prompt response.

Our room had questionable stains on the sofa and carpet, smelled musty, had dirty hand prints on the wall, the mini fridge only slightly chilled drinks, and there were silverfish in the bathroom. There was a room on our floor with the door kicked in and police tape. I overheard 2 other guests with similar complaints. The staff was extremely friendly and apologized for the state of the room. They are renovating, hopefully that will fix some of the problems.

I recently attempted a stay at SpringHill Suites Savannah Midtown, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience—nowhere near the standard I expect from a Marriott property. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the hallways reeked of smoke and mildew, making it an unpleasant environment. The room itself was outdated, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. The couch was visibly dirty, and the overall condition of the furniture was subpar. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition, far from what was shown in the online photos. The experience was so bad that I had to leave and book a different hotel—something I have never had to do before with a Marriott brand. This property does not reflect the quality and reputation of Marriott, and I would not recommend it to anyone. I hope corporate takes immediate action to address these issues because, as it stands, this hotel does not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness and comfort.

Where do I start.....2 nights Sept 28-30 after Helene. We had no power they did. But the issues in this building are long standing. I'll just go in order. Room smelled like wet dog in a trash can. Bedding, towels couch was all damp and wet. Room wasn't cleaned before we entered and probably hasn't been in a while. Refrigerator was on 10(coldest) but had ice buildup so nothing kept cold. Pool.....the water was sticky.....like if you spill juice on your body. The whole pool area was disgusting. I didn't because of others privacy) take pictures of "breakfast" it was sad. Yes they had self made waffles but no fruit or yogurt milk juice ran out. And just didn't have sides of anything. Breakfast on Monday ended at 8am....it still had until 930? Their website has "we're under construction".....they are not. It needs to be but you can see no one has updated site for many years. Logan's road house has been there in 6yrs. The whole facility has been neglected and not cleaned in years. Lights broken, walls peeling, filthy windows. Etc.

This review does reflect anything on the staff but more the condition of the hotel. I travel frequently for work and am a Mariott Bonvoy platnum member. This hotel is not anywhere near up to your typical mariott brand standard and is frankly completely disgusting. When i went to my room there was literal mold growing in the corners and had an overwhelmingly musty smell. The carpet looks like it had never even been cleaned. I told the attendant and she was very polite and out me in another room upstairs that was slightly better. I would highly recommend for your health you avoid this property entirely until they do a full renovation.

Rooms are in need of updating, our room smelled like mildew really bad. So much so I invested in 2 kinds of frebreeze one for the air and one for the carpet & fabrics. It made it better for our next night. But wall paper was peeling off the walls and couch was very dirty. I requested a room on the top floor and was advised those rooms need better cleaning. But I did notice that many others were checked into the upper floors after we checked in????

Customer service was great, but the room was disappointing. There were no safety handrails in the shower, and the shower floor was very slippery. The room, 118, need to be updated. Mildew, rust, wall paper peeling, towel rack in bathroom coming off the wall, etc. Worse Springhill Suite I've stayed in.
