Salmon riverfront inn and suites

Booked a river view room for my Mom’s birthday since this is her favorite place to stay in Salmon. Christie was so friendly at check in. We were really grateful for the abundance of clean towels and the little table and fridge were perfect for doing presents and cake. River rock hunting and skipping was a highlight as just enjoying the beauty and sound of the water. We’ll definitely be back sometime.

We booked this hotel because it had a 4.3 rating. I knew people had said it was a budget hotel, but wow, it's way below "budget." I'll start with the good: The front desk clerk was the nicest I've ever encountered. And the rooms were pretty clean, but that's the only good. These rooms are straight out of the 70's including paneling. The sheets were clean, but you could see through them because they were so thin. The sink was just a sink with no vanity or space around it, so the toilet was where you had to put your stuff. The bathroom shower is so low that I had to bend down to use it and I'm only 5'2". My poor husband almost had to be on his knees. The furniture was leftovers from the 80's, and the carpet was really quite dirty and was berber from the early 90's. I'm not saying don't stay here, but to me, budget is something like a Super 8. This is closer to really low, low budget. It was ok, but it was probably the worst hotel I've been to in the past 30 years. Pay $50 more and stay somewhere a little more in this century.

Christie is such a sweetheart! Always kind and professional. She will make sure you have everything you need! Also, they have a grass area out back with a fire pit. Just beyond that, you have quick access to the river. I always pick this place when I come to town!

Great place to stay. Clean room, comfy bed, good blackout curtains. Small river island behind motel is accessible by a bridge. Nice picnic area on the island. Price reasonable in a tourist fishing town. Washers and dryers available. Manager was super friendly. The A/C fan doesn't run continuously so room got a little warm. Otherwise, perfect. We stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay here again.

I think I got the last room in town, and I'm glad about that! The room itself might not have been top of the line, but it was clean and roomy. The front desk is very kind, eager to help, and was able to answer all my questions. The view, not so much, but it's there... you have to look for it. Overall, I'm happy, and I can't thank you enough for letting me stay here. I'll be back!

I absolutley loved this hotel. The rooms are quiet and quaint. Its cheap, the rooms were clean, beds were so comfortable (except only 2 pillows) and kristy was super nice when i arrived. She let me know about the hot pool, which i was surprised to hear they had one. The view is beautiful. Located right off the river, you can get up and see the river right out of your window (of you get a river side room). The parking on the river side is a little sketchy since it looks like the fence is going to fall off its cliff. Had no issues parking there though. I reccomend this hotel if your anywhere near salmon idaho.

Christie is awesome also so nice rooms are always clean very reasonable price would love if hot tub worked..no complaints here will continue to use this motel every time we come to salmon. Quite place,very comfortable room and motel in general and washer and dryers worked great...
