NillThe rooms were clean. I have no problem with that. But they would not allow you to have no room service. They had to come in and clean everyday. No matter what and the guy at the front desk was constantly and know what? I'll rude the kid that I guess is. Learning was awesome and was trying not trying to bad mouth some because of anything but my experience. And the lady at the desk when I had to recheck back in was rude to me while my dispatcher was on the phone. So even he heard that she was yelling at me to check backin and weird. So my experience only this is what I went through.

NillFirst off, I chose this hotel because of the good reviews for the price in the location that was convenient for my stay in Joliet. I now know that I need go with my gut and not trust other people's reviews so much. Although the finishings of the room and bathroom were quite nice for the price, it smelled like cigarette smoke, despite having to sign my life away and agree to a large fee if the management thought I smoked in the room. Someone prior to me CLEARLY smoked quite heavily, because even after a good long spray of Febreeze, it still smelled like smoke. I suggest that if you are going to charge people for smoking in your rooms, you use that money to get rid of the smell! There was microwave, coffee maker and nice sized mini-fridge and the bed was pretty comfortable. The carpet was stained in several spots. Normally, I would have asked for a different room due to the smell (I am allegic to smoke.), but due to my "welcome experience," I chose to suck it up and stay in the room for the night. The entry area is nice and modern and the bathroom vanity was nice, but I had the distinct feeling that the towels had been refolded and left there from the previous guest. The bathtub was not clean (goop in the drain and water/soap spots everywhere). I will stick to my Hilton brand hotels from now on, as this was a disappointment. The windows were some of the cheapest and worse insulated I have ever experienced in a hotel. You could hear ALL the road noise and any talking in the parking lot. Thank goodness it was nice out, or there would have been a cold draft to contend with. The screen had been pushed out and landed on the roof just below the window, along with some broken beer bottles. The extra lock should have an explanation as to how it works. I almost panicked when I thought I couldn't get out of the room because I had never experienced a lock like that. For anyone who does stay here: you have to pull the lock toward the door and pull back at the same time to unlock it. It is effective, thankfully! - I'll explain that next!, but different than any other lock I've ever used. Breakfast was fine. The waffle was good, but the coffee tasted like hot water. Nothing was replenished (even though I was leaving around 7:30am, so rather early). Finally, after waiting a minute or two (no big deal) to be "welcomed" upon arrival, I was met with a very grumpy woman. She didn't seem happy to have another customer, rather seemed like I was disturbing her from whatever she was doing while I waited for her to come to the front desk. She gave me a room key and I went up to the 3rd floor to the room she assigned me. I used the key (which worked) to open the door, but the door was blocked by the extra lock I mentioned previously. A man yelled "What?" and I was horrified to find that I had tried to enter someone else's room. I apologized to him and went back down to get a new room. No apology from the woman, just "I told you 300, not 200." She was BLAMING ME for her mistake! She then huffily dug through a drawer to find a new little folder for the key, scratched off the number that was written in it and assigned me 200. Again, no apology and no acknowledgement of her error, even after I asked if she was sure there was no one in this room, because I was embarrassed having attempted to barge in on the man in 300. On a positive note, the gentleman at the desk the next day was quite friendly with some other guests. He did make me wait quite a while to simply give him my key to checkout, but he was very friendly and almost made up for the woman the previous evening.

NillI recently had an amazing stay at what I believe is the best hotel in the area! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Yash at the front desk, whose helpful and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast that perfectly kicked off my day, all at fantastic prices. This place truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another visit!

NillThe blanket was dirty with white spots on it, the outside of the fridge was dirty with smear marks on it and the bath rub was not cleaned good enough. I will NEVER go to this hotel ever again. They need to clean better and sanitize way better.

NillBest hotel in the Joliet area by far. Management is excellent and very customer oriented. It is also the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. I highly recommend this establishment.

NillWe were lied to about the size of the bed in our room. We booked a queen and got a full size. We were then told that every queen in the super 8 network is 58” wide. The operator of this establishment is as not at all interested in making things right, and only wanted to argue with me, and try to convince me I was wrong. They offered no room change, no refund, and were extremely rude. We were exhausted coming off the road, and had to stay, because it would have been dangerous for us to get back out and find another hotel. Classic bait and switch, don’t fall for it!

NillFront desk is extremely rude. Kept saying my legit service dog was an emotional support animal and because he's over 30lb couldn't stay.
