Had a terrible experience on Friday 2/21. Manager did not know how to check me in. Had to complete check in on my phone. Had a terrible time finding a parking space. Got to the room and the TV is hanging crooked on the wall. Could hear complete conversations of the 2 rooms in either side. The one room had 6 children in the room. They were running in the hallway till well after 11pm. The other room had their tv blaring until 4am. Got up the next morning had a cold shower. The shower door would not stay closed. Had water all over the bathroom floor. Went down to breakfast and froze! They charged $16 for a cold buffet breakfast. The plates were ice cold to put the food on. The room was so cold there was no way to keep the food warm. The one employee had a winter coat on while she worked. Very disappointed with my stay. I feel I should be compensated in some way. We stay at Hilton properties frequently and have never had such a terrible experience!

First time here and I can’t say enough about this hotel and its staff. Very clean and good breakfast buffet not to mention fruit infused water and the chocolate chip cookies. But the over the top comes from staff. My husband and I were a bit afraid because the shower floor was very slippery. We mentioned it to Christina at the desk. She checked and they didn’t have anything so she spoke to the manager and in less than an hour they had ordered one and had door dash deliver it. Christina brought it up and it was great. I have never had that happen before and to act so quickly. Kayla at the bar and breakfast cafe also was so very nice and very attentive. We were here for a billiard tournament in the river center right across the street and next year I will not stay anywhere else. This hotel and their outstanding staff deserve the highest praise. Thank you for making our 5 day stay very comfortable

I usually avoid Double Tree whenever possible. The front desk was understaffed, one person handling the whole FULL hotel at 7pm, though Kristine was a blessing. I had bothered her several times about issues, my 13 year old got locked in the room and I was locked I out. She put the hotel on hold and worked with a very knowledgeable hotel maintenance person to get it sorted. Mind you, Kristine had had a very traumatic life experience just moments before. I am so thankful for her understanding and am in awe that she was keeping herself together under the circumstances. Thank you Kristine! I wish I could remember the maintenance man's name... he was as amazing! He worked with my son over video chat to identify the problem, call the appropriate managers, seek guidance, and then use a crowbar to open the door. We gave him a samosa and thanked him for his effort, though I think it wasn't enough for all he did. Thank you!

We have photos of a large (2.5-3 inch) cockroach scurrying through the dining room during breakfast and the front desk attendant (Deven) was rude to me when I reported it to her. Another family posted on their FB page of a similar incident with roaches at another part of the hotel during the same weekend. Clearly, they have an infestation. If roaches are coming out in the daytime, what is that place like when the lights are off?! ||Additionally, we had stains on our mattress that were hidden by the sheets. My in laws stayed on the floor under us with a broken TV and a leak in their ceiling. They were moved to a different room only to have more problems. ||We stayed here multiple times last year, and never had issues. At that time, we found the staff to be welcoming and kind and the facility to be well-staffed and clean. However, it’s clear that this location has gone downhill and their staff is not doing their job. We are canceling our reservations for later this month and moving to The Black Hawk (around the corner). We are reconsidering our Hilton reservations in other cities.

The room was sub par. The biggest issue was absolutely no hot water either day of our visit. We had to take showers that were look warm at best. Our door handle to the bathroom fell off. We called maintenance to fix and they came and put the handle back on. When putting the handle back on they installed incorrectly not allowing door to close. The breakfast buffet downstairs is also underwhelming. Choices are very limited. The food is ok but they ran out of eggs and pancakes. They made more pancakes but had no eggs to replenish the buffet. The bar was overall was a good hangout spot. Prices were great 6 beers for $15. However they ran out of bud light on a Friday night with a big event going on at the Rivercenter which many were staying at Double Tree. Honestly if not for location, this is an overpriced Super 8. We will not be staying here again.

Wanted 50 per night as a deposit. No fridge. No heat. No microwave. Didnt even have an alarm clock. No outlets in the room for laptop if you plan to do any work. No lights In the room either. Bed was fine but for the cost should have been a significantly better place. Would have left but had to be up in 4 hours for work.

Woweeee!!! What a great hotel and outstanding staff! Not only is this hotel, beautifully appointed, with a magnificent lobby and waterfall, but it is in a great location, right on the Mississippi river. We had excellent service, above and beyond, ffom our front desk manager, Sarah. She is a 10!!! We would come back again, just for the outstanding professional and friendly front desk service.

We have stayed at this property a couple of times and notice the elevelvators and fountain area are not kept up. Dirty and the chlorine smell ftom the fountain is overbearing. Our room had no hot water this morning which put a damper on things as we needed a shower for our big day. I will be checking into another property for our next stay in the area.
