We had a good experience at the AmericInn. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was better then most hotels the offered a variety of food. Eggs, bread, muffins, bagels, muffins, waffles, yogurt, apples, oranges, milk, hard boiled eggs, danish pastries! The pool and hot tub was clean. The only complaints i had was the bathroom fan in the room didn’t work this made it hard for the family to get dressed and ready in a hot bathroom. The fridge in the room didn’t work well neither. It was a safe environment and family friendly.

Stayed here while in town for the dog show. It is great when nice places allow dogs and partner with the kennel clubs. I am glad we chose this location. Clean, friendly staff, good free breakfast, and a poop bag dispenser outside with plenty of room for the dogs to stretch their legs (although one guest, who was not in town for the dog show, would not pick up after his pit bull when he pooped, so rude). We would definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The spa was down but the pool was warm and they actually had plenty of towels stocked along with floats available for use for the kids. Breakfast was very good and plenty of coffee available.

We went during Christmas, hotel was decorated very nicely! Breakfast was just ok, not much variety and eggs and potatoes were mixed and kind of dry. Rooms are always clean and staff if pleasant.

Positive: Cleanliness, breakfast selections, pool, bar, and staff was friendly. Bathroom was good size. Negative: Room was small. Supposed to be in an executive room. Beds we?re comfortable but not queen beds in a queen room.

Wonderful experience! Great price for all that is offered and how well it is maintained. Accessibility is great!

Only caveat is that the accessible room has a tub. There are a lot of grab bars, but still a tub. The seat is very low in the tub. A walk in shower would be nice.

After having an incredibly disappointing experience at the Maquoketa AmericInn (called ahead to Maq and was told there were rooms available and when we arrived, no one was on duty to check us in even after 30 minutes of waiting), we came here. Incredibly kind, accommodating and friendly. Definitely worth driving extra to get to this location vs the Maquoketa one.
