Holiday Inn Des Moines-Airport/Conf Center, an IHG Hotel

My room was very clean and comfortable. Because of a winter storm I arrived in Des Moines a day early and I was concerned that the hotel would not have room for me. The desk staff was fantastic to work with as they were able to adjust my reservation so that I did not have to stay elsewhere for the night or change rooms the next day. I was very pleased with this choice in hotels.

Wonderful greeting upon arrival. 1st floor suite was. worth the price. Breakfast was made fresh each morning. We were there on the weekend and enjoyed the bar in the evening. The funky "Speak Easy" behind the bar was a fun surprise. Oh and what a swimming pool area. We had three families there with a few little one and everyone had a blast. Only thing they could add is electric vehicle charging on site.

Lori at the front desk was exceptional as well as the bartender on Thursday night. She was on top of everything and managed the bar extremely well by herself. I have stayed at this hotel many times and they are the most accommodating staff anywhere. They go out of their way for you. They provide great service at a fair price.

The bed was a home run: comfortable mattress, quality sheets, and great pillows. Probably the best I have experienced at a hotel. The chaise style side chair was super comfortable. Good products in the bathroom. Liked the keurig coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was good. Shuttle to the airport was quick.

We were there for a convention (Eastern Star) and felt very welcomed. Food at all banquets was good and plentiful - in fact more than we could really eat. Maybe less food, lower price another time? Remember, age of our members is older. We had trouble heating our room but realize that the weather temps had been changing and hard to regulate indoor temps. We were finally able to get some heat so we were comfortable. Overall, our stay was fine.

We stayed here the night before we flew out of DSM. The room was very nice, every employee we encountered was very friendly. We like the fact that the transportation is on an "as needed" basis. Some motels run at certain times, like on the hour or half-hour, but not here. Our pick up was very quick when we returned home. We would definitely use them again.

This stay was due to a airline delay. It was scheduled last minute and went about as smoothly as it could go. The hotel staff was excellent. They were very helpful handling long term parking, and shuttle service. We appreciate the ease of the stay.

We held a large event in the Iowa Hall and the catering staff was OVER THE TOP AMAZING. Efficient, friendly and attentive. The food was remarkable -shout out to the chef.Tiffany was my point of contract and she was very thorough, easy to get ahold of and thought of everything.. Will definitely hold our annual formal there again
