We went here for our first Valentines Day celebration as husband and wife and it was wonderful! A nice short little getaway and really had so much fun! The themed room we choose was perfect, the Camelot, it was beautiful and just so cozy on a winter day. All the proper touches like a castle! Had chocolate covered strawberries we ordered already in the room for us! The tub was a fun experience because it was a perfect fit for the both of us, lighted, jetted tub put inside a ship for the real fantasy experience of the room! The sconces that had flicker flames next to the knight made for even more perfect ambiance! Cozy rot iron bed and nice chairs with a table! Even a beautiful walk in shower for the both of us! :) we even got breakfast delivered to our room for an extra price that wasn't bad at all and very delicious!! everything and everyone was wonderful!

What a great stay! We came during the week, which was so nice and quiet for a little get-away. We stayed in a more simple room (Renaissance). When booking, we weren't really into the themed rooms, although after our stay, we would be open to a little more quirk next time. Chateau Avalon doesn't have the hotel feel -- it feels like cross between a hotel and a bed and breakfast, but without the communal areas, which we loved. We enjoyed the privacy that the set up allowed us. The bed was SO comfortable, and the soaking tub was a great addition and really nice after hours of walking around the Legends. The only thing that was a little funky was the shower inside the tub with a curtain encircling it, but not a deal breaker by any means. The staff was friendly. We will definitely schedule another short get-away here!

Service at the hotel was fine, the massages were great and the front desk lady was outstanding but that is all I have good to say because our original booked room was unavailable and our second room had a leak. We did not want to take the third offered room as we had to climb stairs to get to our bed and I have a chronic pain condition so that wasn’t feesable. We were told the manager would call us and they never did. We called multiple times after and were given the runaround. It definitely was a bad experience I would not recommend!

The pre-check in was easy and helpful. Upon arrival, I was a little suspect walking up the steps as several pieces of concrete were broken/cracked. Check in was smooth and quick thanks to the pre-check in. We were informed that breakfast was limited to cinnamon rolls only due to no cook available and there was no coffee in the lobby hotpot. Parking and directions to our room were easy and accurate. We booked one of the Lincoln rooms. Immediately I noticed there was not a single place to hang any clothes unless it was in the shower curtain rod. There were no drawers to put away clothes and only a single bag rack. The lighting was good with 6 recessed can lights and a lamp, but no ability to dim the lights. The tv was at 90* to the in-room hot tub, but is not on a swivel arm so as to enjoy a bath and watch TV together. The hot tub was large and clean easily accommodating 2 adults. The king bed was very comfortable and there were several pillows that were also comfortable and supportive. The in-room robes provided were small in size and given that they offer them for sale, it would have been nice for them to ask what sizes were needed at pre-check in. There was only 1 small window which could be a positive or negative, but for quiet and a dark room to sleep in, was definitely a plus. |Overall the room was nice, clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced, but lacking in several small details.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We had been here before a couple years ago and our experience was night and day. The first time we went we had a great time. I'm not sure if management has changed but looking at other reviews it looks like we aren't the only ones to have a bad experience as of lately. This trip was for our anniversary and did nothing but disappoint. I booked our stay two weeks in advance and called to schedule spa appointments, but was told they were completely booked. That was disappointing, but we decided to move forward with our trip. We were driving from four hours away when, about an hour before arrival, we got a call saying the hotel had a power outage. Our options were to reschedule, cancel for a full refund, or still come and stay. We looked up power outages in the area but couldn’t find any reports, so we decided to go anyway. When we arrived, the power was on. I’m not saying it never went out, but the situation seemed suspicious. Check-in was at 4 PM, but our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait 30 minutes before we could even get in. Later that night, after returning from a reservation, we went to the bar only to find out it was closed because the bartender was attending a wedding being held at the hotel mind you we were not told it would be closed at check in and the front desk person watched us walk that way didnt say anything. That was really frustrating because the bar was part of the experience we were paying for. Then, when we tried to enjoy the whirlpool tub in our room, we found hair in the filter. We asked the front desk to have someone clean it, but they refused, saying housekeeping wasn’t available. Their only solution was to move us to a different room and offer a $50 credit. That barely covered breakfast, let alone made up for the inconvenience. The new room was also a downgrade half the price of the one we booked and they only offered a small discount. Our other option was to leave and get a full refund. It was 9:30 PM, but after how poorly we were treated, we decided to leave. Overall, this hotel completely failed to deliver the experience we paid for. The spa was unavailable, the bar was closed, our room was dirty, and the customer service was terrible. For $400 a night, I expected far better. Extremely disappointing.

I love the Architecture, beautiful BEAUTIFUL place! The staff was so kind and polite. Always greeted with a genuine smile. They offer a wonderful breakfast, I thought I woke up at my mother's house. I went for a little weekend getaway. somewhat of a staycation, if you will. I will be back to do it again! Thank you Chateau Avalon for the relaxing and lovely experience.

My husband surprised me with a gift certificate for my last birthday. We were so excited to visit the hotel and spa. Our experience was incredibly disappointing. The room itself was nice and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We went to the bar and the bartender could not recommend a drink or had zero interest in engaging with paying customers. Instead, he was interacting with the other staff members who were taking shots at the bar. |We had booked a couples massage and I requested deep tissue. My husband who rarely gets a massage leaned up after and could not believe that was what we paid for. I was concerned on whether they are even certified. My deep tissue never did any technique I’ve been familiar with nor worked out any knot. I was charged an extra 35 dollars for no deep tissue treatment. The girls were very kind and so we just went on after without complaining. |Overall, if you’re wanting a true romantic getaway with your spouse or significant other, this is not it. The service was lackluster and young kids who were not equipped to provide the service they should for what the hotel charges. You should certainly expect a high level of service for such a beautiful establishment. Sad to say, we will never return and I am sad my husband spent $500 on an experience that was subpar.

Alice at the front desk was amazing! When I reserved our room, I didn't realize that there was a staircase leading to the bed. My husband can't do stairs. Not only did Alice find another room available, she found 2, and actually took us to both rooms to look at them! We chose the Hemingway room, beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Thank you, Alice, for making our stay comfortable, relaxing and safe! Thank you to all tge staff, we come often for quick getaways, and we always have a great experience!
