Excellent location and the staff have always been great to us. My husband and I love staying here for a weekend getaway. The rooms are very spacious and equipped with full kitchens. The only minor negative is that it's not the cleanest, we've found mold and grime in the bathroom and dog bones under the couch. It's an old building so it's to be expected. Everything else is exceptional!!

This hotel is in the heart of Canal Park. We chose because of the vicinity to restaurants, the lake and Bentleyville. Most importantly we could bring our dog for a very reasonable fee. We had a two bedroom suite with full kitchen, two bathrooms and a whirlpool ( we never got time to use) It was the perfect spot for our family. It is a little dated, but the staff was amazing and you cannot beat the price. Great breakfast, pool and hot tub and did I say the staff was amazing. The only reason I did not give 5 for the room is just because like I said, some of the room is a little dated, which did not bother us at all! We will be back!

Despite what will be a very negative review, the staff did the best they could given a challenging circumstance. I lay the blame solely at the feet of management for not have more accessible maintenance and more staff on hand during a busy time. Our keys would not open the room. After going back and forth several times being told there was another door, a staff member walked up with me and determined the card reader needed a new battery. Two staff members attempted to fix it and couldn’t. They called a maintenance worker and we were told he would arrive in around 45 minutes. They kindly offered to comp some of the price and stored our bags as we walked around town. We returned 90 minutes later to be told maintenance hadn’t arrived yet. It was getting late and our kids needed to start getting ready for bed. We were offered additional comps but told the door wouldn’t be fixed any time soon. We ended up cancelling the room and being told our card wouldn’t be charged. It being late on a popular weekend, there was limited availability in town so here we are driving hours back home again. Believe the negative reviews. I almost changed reservations because of them and wished I had. The management frequently responds to negative reviews here, yet nothing apparently changes. Again, the staff did their best given the situation management puts them in. Do. Not. Stay. Here.

Stayed a few days. Room was great!! A lot of character and very spacious. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. The best part was the service. From the moment we walked in the, the service from Ryder was exceptional! Was courteous, helpful, and professional. Great customer service!

We stayed overnight at The Suites for my bachelorette party, best night!! We had a big party split into a couple of rooms. Maria at the front desk made sure our entire party had the best stay possible! We even had to book a last minute room and she made it happen! The rooms were very clean, well stocked and clearly well maintained. The breakfast buffet was basic staples and delicious! Easy to use waffle iron as well!! The location is great, parking gets a little iffy in Canal Park but again Maria and the front desk team made sure we understood where to park and made it easy for validation! Thank You Maria and the whole Suites team!!

Loved this hotel in canal park. So close to the bridge, a small beach, lighthouses, the aquarium, restaurants, and facilities were great. Loved the pool, hot tub, and sauna. Did not try breakfast, but it is a voucher system. Parking was included in stay and loved the shops all walking distance. Would definitely book again as the rooms, hot water for showers, and charm of the building all really worked for us.

Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. They do not provide enough towels for everyone staying in the room and it took over 48 hours for us to finally get them. Forget having the trash emptied during your stay either. The cleaning staff that did show up to clean a room down the hall was more concerned with their own loud expletive-laden conversation than actually hustling to get the job done. Front desk staff was at best not helpful and oftentimes rude. The gentleman checking in ahead of me arrived to find out they had overbooked the hotel but “someone was supposed to have called him earlier in the day.” Overall this is a hotel/condo with wonderful potential because of its location but it is terribly managed and not at all worth what we paid. We only stayed 3 of the 5 days we had booked after management threatened to call the cops because of my 17, 15, 10 and 8 year olds being left unattended in our room for 2 hours during dinner. This was discovered not because my kids were disruptive but because of a leaky toilet that the maintenance man told us was no fault of ours. This policy is apparently a hotel rule that we could not find published anywhere but feel others with responsible, older minor children should be aware of before booking.

Great place right on the pier. Good views from the lake side rooms and a really good breakfast. It wasn't anything fancy but it was all well done and stocked. We had a king suite and the room was amazing. Very clean, comfy bed and bedding. The Jacuzzi worked and was very clean! Absolutely would book again for the next Duluth trip.
