Tru By Hilton Duluth Mall Area

Met with a warm walk upon arrival. Had all the necessities we needed at the hotel. Loved the options for food and drink at the front desk. One suggestion would be for cleaning staff to ensure that alarm clocks are shut off for the next guest. We were woke early by this. Loved having the pool table in the lobby and all the seating space together in the evening. Breakfast was also just the right mix of options. Lastly, my whole family didn’t love it, but I loved the bathroom products/dispensers!

If you like hipster/boutique-style hotels, this is a nice offering in that category. Casual and chill vibe, easy check-in, comfortable room with giant TV, mini fridge but no microwave. Great shower, with sink inside bathroom instead of outside. Only a mile or so up the hill from the main tourist area of the harbor, as opposed to hotels on the hill that are several miles farther. We had a great view of the magnificent Lake from the 3rd floor, even-numbered room on the main street side. Excellent hot breakfast with okay coffee, great market snack selection, as well as craft beer and wine. And... a free pool table! Fitness room, modest indoor swimming pool... Great first-time visit.

I’m still new to the Tru brand but overall I enjoy it. I love the extra lobby space. It was great for some reading after breakfast. I also like the plank floors in the room. It feel cleaner knowing they can mop them. That being said, my room had some hair in the corner which was disappointing. I know a normal hotel room is dirtier, but if you have these floors you have to do better. Even knowing that, I’d stay here again without hesitation.

Ellie was amazing. Besides being warm and friendly, she fixed the lamp in our room and was helpful with every request. We really enjoyed our stay. A wonderful room and a great location in our favorite city of Duluth!||The only problem was the fog so we couldn’t see canal Park.

This is our go-to in Duluth but I agree it has changed a little bit. The front desk workers from my last stay were not very friendly. I heard one man ask where the guest laundry is and all she said was "there is no guest laundry" in a tone with no explanation or offer of suggestions. Yikes. Please do better Hilton or you will lose return guests. ||Why is there a couch in pool room. Adding a hot tub to that space would make more sense and be used more frequently. Also, please add guest laundry.

We had booked two rooms - one for family and one for ourselves and we all enjoyed our stay. This hotel is very modern, clean, and in a short driving distance to canal park. It was easily half the price of other hotels in the area and compared to some of the more dated canal park hotels we liked this hotel a lot better. Breakfast is included which was nice and staff was friendly. Would highly recommend if you plan a weekend in Duluth!

The rooms were clean and tidy. However, the lack of an option to request service for missing amenities, such as bed linens, was a minor inconvenience. The location was excellent, with easy access to all the hot spots and restaurants.

It was our first stay here, front desk staff was very efficient and super friendly. Lots to do in the lobby! The rooms are modern but pretty cozy and basic, it was a very comfortable quiet stay though, we’d stay again for sure!
