My wife and I spent a wonderful Valentines Day weekend at the White Bear Country Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable, and appointed well (the TV remote worked!) The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The restaurant, Rudy's Red-Eyed Grill, was packed because it is one of the best in the Twin Cities. Its service was first class and the food was great. The excellent pool was a treat, as was the well-equipped exercise room. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a great time on our weekend stay and plan to return soon. We highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a fun getaway.

Hotel & rooms were clean and comfy. Pool & hot tub were nice(also clean), breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner even stopped to genuinely ask about our stay and even cleared our breakfast plates - above & beyond! Definitely recommend!

We stayed here through Camp Odayin, which is a nonprofit group dedicated to supporting children with heart defects and their families. This was the Heart Mom Retreat. Lovely staff, quiet rooms, great rooftop bar. Karen & Gina deserve a shout out for being so present and helpful in the big meeting room.

I came here with a group of 60+ college students on a choir tour through Minnesota. The staff was incredibly accommodating, patient, and kind. The owner, Bill, introduced himself to us and made sure we had everything we need the night we got there and the next morning. And, the breakfast potatoes were phenomenal! I would very highly recommend staying here :)

Megan at the front desk was friendly and did a great job getting us checked in quickly. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the layout was nice. It was also handy being able to do some laundry on-site, and the breakfast was pretty decent.

We were here during the work week for a staycation. It was a wonderful place to relax with the kids during spring break. Overall, we had a great experience and are eager to come back! The bedding was phenomenal: super fluffy blankets, not your typical stiff hotel sheets. The complementary breakfast here puts all other hotel chains to shame. There’s plenty of hot food and two-go options, including gluten-free picks. They have a 24 hour coffee bar, which features a Nescafé machine. It was superb! This location has a small business area and is also attached to the White Bear Lake event center, which has event spaces for birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc. The pool is bean-shaped, which we found odd (but it’s not a deal breaker!). There are no stairs into the pool, which might be a deterrant for families with young kids. It runs 3 feet to 5 feet. The hot tub is small, but this wasn’t a huge issue since we didn’t go during a busy time. We spent most of our time here during our stay. The biggest cons of our visit here—and let it be known that these are not major cons whatsoever—are: the location of the pool. It’s in a central area accessible without a key card. You can see the pool area if your room is an inner room that overlooks this common area; there’s a little privacy. The lack of signage. When we first arrived, we weren’t sure which entrance was the Best Western entrance. The hotel shares an entrance with the adjoining restaurant, Rudy’s Redeye Grill. The signage over the main door says the restaurant’s name instead of the hotel‘s name, so we weren’t quite sure where to enter when we arrived. Use the main entrance, even though the signage doesn’t indicate the hotel is located therein. We decided last year Best Western was our favorite hotel chain, but this location specifically blew our expectations out of the park. It had all the amenities of other Best Westerns we stayed in and even more. This location is perfect for an extended stay, whether for business or family. We’ll be back!

Very beautiful decorated hotel out in the suburbs! 20 miles from our activity planned. The staff were friendly and kind and quick to help with everything. There was a salt water pool and a regular nice HOT tub. It felt like we were in a resort here! The bar is right off the pool, with an elegant restaurant as well! I was not expecting there to be dinning seating around the pool, so that made us a little uncomfortable to swim with people eating and watching. My sister choose not to swim, but I still went swimming with my son and had a blast!! They have a beautiful fireplace in the lobby, and a roof top restaurant open in the warmer months. We visited Mid january 2025. The prices were great! Complementary breakfast in the morning; and coffee available all day! Parking can be difficult on weekends with the restaurant getting so packed, but we found a nice close spot both days. Over all one of the best hotels I've been at and I would definitely stay again!! Super friendly staff made this place all the better!!

I came here to relax and booked a jacuzzi suite. The suite was beautiful and the tub was amazing!! The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 stars is because my room had issues as far as cleanliness and because the housekeeping staff had gone home for the day, I had to take care of some things myself. I spoke with the manger Meagan about it the next day and she handled it very well. She was kind, professional, and took care of things immediately. I felt like she took good care of me and because of her I will definitely be coming back to relax in another suite or with my family for a weekend away. ||The room service was excellent and the atmosphere of the hotel is beautiful! The staff was very kind, approachable, and joyful. I left my stay with them feeling relaxed and taken care of. I’ve stayed at several Best Western hotels as a platinum member, and this was one my favorites not only because of the atmosphere, charm, and elegance, but because of the staff.
