NillWe had an interview today about a potential wedding at the double tree. Angie was absolutely wonderful and a huge help. As a very young couple we know next to nothing about planning a wedding. She made us feel welcomed and comfortable upon arrival. I feel excellent customer service needs to be praised. She answered every question we asked with patience and detail. She also gave us a tour of all the rooms they had to offer as well as the rooms our family members could potentially stay in. Everything was nice and the rooms were comfortable and tidy. If we do choose this location for our Wedding we are beyond excited to have Angie in our corner. This review is more for the purpose of the customer service this hotel provides as we have not had the pleasure of actually staying here (we live locally). If you’re looking for a top tier wedding coordinator/ sales catering manager this is the place to go. Everything in the hotel looked fantastic to me, clean, neat and well maintained. Thank you Angie, we appreciated you’re time more than you know :)

NillI had an amazing time at this hotel. I had the read the reviews and didn't know what I was in for but decided to take a chance. When I pulled in the vibe and energy was everything I was looking for. Helena was so friendly at the front desk and helped me figure out everything I needed to know and got me checked in. I then went up to my room and the rooms were huge with beautiful views of downtown and really comfortable beds. The t.v had over hundreds of channels with plenty of options including HBO. They also had a wide variety of music stations you can listen to as well. After we unpacked we went to our basketball tournament which is what brought us into down. The hotel was very close to the interstate and easy to access going in each direction. Then after we came back we went to the pool which stays open until 11pm We then slept in our comfy beds and woke up and went to the breakfast buffet which was delicious. Then repeated it all over again. The pool was nice and warm. Each person was warm and friend and helpful with any questions. I will definitely be back when I come back to take my daughter to the zoo here. Thank you for a great weekend 5 star review from Me I will see you guys soon. Maria is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! She was also so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back again. Thank you Maria and Helena :)))) Michelle was also really really helpful!!!!!! Will be back this summer :))))

NillThe shuttle to CHI was literally the only thing good about this hotel. The broken "automatic" front doors should have our sign to turn around and try somewhere else. The pool was closed. It took 18 minutes to get from the 7th floor to the lobby and yes we could've taken the stairs however we would've had to lug a huge dance bag down also. Breakfast was supposed to open at 7 and by 7:45 still wasn't open. But on Sunday, breakfast was very good not sure if it opened on time. Now onto the rooms...we booked two king size rooms. One room had a fridge that didn't work and no microwave. The other room had a microwave and a fridge, but both had been unplugged so the fridge took awhile to get cold. Both rooms were out of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Asked for the front desk to refill and never did. The TV in one of the rooms wouldn't work..it would turn on and the volume would work, but no other buttons. (We didn't call the front desk because some friends called about theirs the same day and they never came.) But the best part...cold showers..two days in a row.

NillBooked through our banking rewards, which had no information about the extra fees. Our room that we used miles for ended up being another $80 we had to pay out of pocket. Also somehow the hot and cold faucets in the sink and shower are backwards?? I thought there was no hot water until I turned on the "cold" faucet in the sink. You guys might want to check up on that... or at least let your customers know beforehand lol. I will say, it was very clean.

NillHorrible hotel. Completely outdated and horribly maintained. The rooms are nasty. Random stains on the wall. Furniture is destroyed in the rooms. We arrived to our room to find shaved hairs in the “cleaned shower” and a clearly not cleaned toilet. Giant cracks in the bathroom ceiling plus tiles falling off the trim. The curtains are stained horribly too. It’s honestly a miracle they don’t have bed bugs. The front desk is horribly understaffed. The bar is a joke and over priced. Parking is extremely annoying. The only and I mean only decent thing is the location is pretty walkable. Do not stay here. Stay basically anywhere else. Trust me.

NillWhat was likely once a nice hotel is on the downswing and in need of updating and repairs. The good: The location is decent, and our room was good sized with a nice view. We had a microwave and operating fridge as requested. Overall our room was clean, but has obviously seen some use. Bar staff was good. The bad: The front automatic doors were broken. Received an email the day of checkin that the pool was closed for the next two weeks. Low or no water pressure the first night and morning. WiFi bandwidth was poor meaning failed team video uploads. And our experience was better than much of the rest of our teams who had no working shower, water coming out the of the ceiling, no hot water among other things. Seems like the ratings are dropping on this place...

NillFairly large rooms, a little older, but well kept. The bar/restaurant had a decent selection of liquors and a good menu. Not a large selection of beer, especially if you like craft beer or IPA's. Overall not bad at all.

NillThis hotel is past its prime. You can tell that there is a lack of maintenance and repairs. The cold water is warm because they have it on a recirculating loop, but the hot water is fast. The breakfast (meager at best) is close to $20. I wasn’t offered my welcome cookie when I checked in. I would not stay here again. Much more modern and cheaper options right around the corner. One plus, is that they did add a mini fridge to my room.
