NillThe room was okay though the carpet was so stained and needed badly to be cleaned! Found cobwebs around. Cleanliness all around could be much improved. Unfortunately, it is the only hotel in Pender.

NillWe stayed here 9/30/23, entryway and bathroom were loaded with hundreds of bugs which appeared to be dead. Store was closed there was nothing we could do. Beds seemed ok. In the morning bugs started crawling even on carpet. We grabbed our things and ran out. Told girl in cubby's she said she would let them know. Nothing done. We are disputing the charge. We couldn't sleep and we were stuck. Disgusting

NillWe made a reservation for a room several days before our arrival. Upon arrival we checked in at the convenience store next door. The person in charge that day was not friendly at all and one of the employees did our check in. When we entered our room, there was no heat in it. The heat was turned off completely. We turned the heat on and set the temperature on 80 to try to warm up the room quickly. After about an hour, we were able to take our coats off. The room was clean, but we could not get the water to get more than warm, so the idea of a shower was off the table. We were in town for a family event and when we returned to the room it was nice and warm and we were able to turn the temp down. We were able to get a good nights sleep, so the experience wasn’t a total waste. We are wondering though, why, when they knew that the room was reserved that someone did not turn the heat on several hours before our arrival. This is the middle of the winter in the Midwest!!

★★★★★First of all, I was pleased to find lodging in Pender, I anticipated the closest place to stay would be 20-30 miles away. Everything certainly met my expectations. The room was bigger than the usual. It was clean and had all the standard amenities, plus some. I appreciated having an ironing board and iron in the room. Also, I liked the fact I could park right outside my door. I am a member of anytime fitness so was happy to see they have one in town at their new community center.||||The location is great, walking distance to both the hospital and the Pender Care Center. Next door is a grocery store, which is also where you check in.

NillIt's ok. The sheets were clean. The bathroom (shower and toilet) were clean. The sink mirror was dirty and so was the mirror. The coffee maker on the room was nice, but hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was a fork and napkin behind the dresser. No one came into the room during our 4 day stay to empty trash or clean the room. If you need to stay in Pender, which we did, the hotel is fine. If you have other choices, choose to stay elsewhere.

NillThe rooms were nice and clean however, the beds and the pillows are terrible, hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. The sheets smelled like they hadn't been washed in a very long time and I'm sure it's because no one has stayed in this room for awhile. Of course it's the only motel / hotel around so I had no other choice therefore I am thankful 💤🛀

★When I called to make a reservation, the guy on the phone sounded like he just woke up and didn't know what he was talking about. (This was around 1pm). ||The walls are paper-thin. Luckily the people next to us didn't stay up too late. ||When we got there, there was urine all over the toilet seat and the floor. Dried. It was absolutely disgusting. There was also an open can of beer in the fridge! ||If there had been ANYWHERE else to stay we would have left immediately. ||In the morning, we almost slipped and fell because nobody had bothered to put ice melt anywhere. The sidewalks were covered in a thick sheet of ice. And we left around checkout time so there was no excuse for that. ||I'd give this place a negative rating if that were possible!

★Ugh, since it's the only choice in town they apparently are indfferent to motel standards. First of all you check in next door at the town"s grocery store/gas station /coffee shop where you'll receive lukewarm reception at best. The first thing you notice upon entering the room is the smell and not a pleasant smell. The next thing you notice is the appearance of what looks to be a dead body under the covers. Turns out that's just extra lumpy bumpy cheap bedspreads all balled up. There's no TV channel guide, there's no check out time or any other motel or City information posted, your key card may or may not work. If there were other options in town this place would surely have to close its doors. Oh and I almost forgot it's grossly overpriced at $71 a night for a crappy motel and Hooterville! On the plus side there is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room and it has a nice parking lot.
