NillJust a 12 minute walk from the Eastman School of Music and Kodak Hall, Courtyard Marriott Rochester is a very good option for travelers seeking a newer, clean & well maintained hotel. The lobby is spacious for a medium size hotel and there is ample seating for dining. The rooms are very clean, spacious, firm beds with clean, newer bedding, wood frames with rounded corners to prevent injuring your shins, large flat screen tv, refridgerator, clean bathroom with good size stand-up shower with excellent water pressure, no hard water here, carpet & furniture are newer, free wifi, ample free parking, workout room, restaurant, bar, etc. Surrounding neighborhood is old but quiet & relatively safe (as safe as downtown Rochester can be). Walls are rather thin. No complimentary coffee/tea or newspaper. Drip coffee was $5 and awful. Price was reasonable and better value compared to other familiar hotel chains in the heart of downtown. Staff was professional & welcoming. Good for families & business travelers. Recommended 👍

NillGreat hotel! We were visiting in winter just for a weekend to attend a wedding and so this hotel was perfect for us. Staff was very welcoming and the location was optimal. The venue (the Memorial Art Gallery) as well as breakfast/dinner options were all within a short drive, and probably would have been walkable had the sidewalks not been iced over. They also offered select parking in a free, indoor, heated garage which alone made this hotel a 5/5 for us as we didn't have to worry about clearing off any snow from the car or going outside in the cold to grab our luggage. Only thing to be mindful of is the entrances can be easy to miss.

NillExcellent in every way. A gorgeous bed. Friendly staff. A good bar with hot food options. Underground parking (only around 20 stalls). Good location in downtown. Two "issues". 1) I am not normally susceptible to allergies but something in the room was making me sneeze the whole time, must be a cleaning product or the soap etc. Be aware if you are sensitive and 2) The hotel is cheaply built so you can hear footsteps above and people talking next door. However I did give it 5 stars

NillI stayed at this hotel for a week during a business trip. Among the Courtyard properties I’ve stayed at, the facilities here are relatively good. However, the soundproofing in the guest rooms is extremely poor—I could constantly hear the TV from the neighboring room and footsteps from upstairs. Even though I usually sleep well anywhere, I frequently had trouble resting at night. Additionally, the hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast, which is a downside. The one standout feature for me was the availability of an indoor parking garage.

NillExcellent experience so far! I walked in when the front desk person was leaving at the end of his shift. He walked back in and checked me in. Then, in the room, there were extra towels and pillows as requested at the time of reservation. Nice work!

★★★★We stayed here for one night while visiting for a show at the Kodak Center. If you’re familiar with Courtyard hotels, this hotel is pretty typical for the brand. Comfortable and clean rooms and bedding. Plenty of room for two people to spread out, even in the bathroom, counter space was good. Parking is free and gated, which is good as I’d heard the neighborhood can be a bit sketchy in places. We had a quiet night’s sleep and no issues at all. Would stay again if in the area. However, I did think the room rate was higher than I’d expect (as we’d just come from a Courtyard in Albany that was almost half this rate!) so have taken a point off there for value purposes.

NillI stayed here when I came into town a day early for a business trip and wanted to explore ahead of time. Marisol at the front desk was so wonderful and helpful when I was checking in, this is why I choose Marriott. The customer appreciation that she embodied is why I will come back here if I’m in town again. And Isaac was great as a bartender, keeping everything flowing, juggling all the customers, and not letting anyone go unnoticed. Thank you to both of them, as well as a comfortable, quiet room to sleep in, this was a great Marriott experience

NillWe have stayed at this location a handful of times because it’s very convenient to the theatre and our favorite brunch spot, Locals Only. The rooms are always nice but this time we had to cover our faces as we walked through the hallways and in the elevators. The hotel mists very strong chemicals into the air in an attempt to smell like fall. It was so strong you could literally see mists in the air. It burned my eyes and nose. Not sure if they’re trying to cover up an odor or if someone actually thinks this smells good. Please let your guests breathe natural air!
