La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Columbus Dublin

We stayed here for two nights and I am glad we are not here longer. When we entered the building it immediately smelled like cigarettes in the lobby. It was pretty overwhelming. The receptionist was very kind. It’s definitely run down and in need of some TLC. Painting needs to be done, and the lounge area is on the smaller side. When I checked in I was told to take out anything of value from our vehicle since they’ve had break ins- which didn’t make us feel particularly safe. What’s strange is it doesn’t seem like a particularly bad area. There is one small elevator that has definitely seen better days. One young child came off before we got on almost in tears as she thought she was stuck and was about to press the emergency call button. The floors in our room are coming up, the floor isn’t level, either. There’s a really big slope down where the floor is lifting, and the floor panel is up over an inch from the floor. Overall it’s dingy but the beds are clean and comfortable. Comparatively, we could have (should have) stayed at a Hilton property- the standards between Wyndham and Hilton is pretty striking for the same price of room per night. Only a select few channels on TV with no option for streaming services. We skipped on breakfast as it didn’t seem appetizing at all. I wouldn’t recommend and won’t return.

Had an amazing stay at La Quinta! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The rooms were spacious, the beds were super cozy, and the breakfast had a good variety of options. A huge shoutout to Dee and Sam for recommending this place! They were incredibly helpful and made sure I had a smooth check-in and a pleasant stay. Their friendly service really made a difference. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town. Highly recommend.

Nice room. Very clean. The n was comfortable and I loved the down pillows. Very quite. And there was ample parking near the door. Easy to check in and check out. Breakfast was better than most! Is tv had a nice variety of hot and cold options. I'll use this location again, for sure! 😁

The cleanest most welcoming staff I mean, the absolute cleanest hotel I’ve ever been in my life. It’s a wonderful place to stay and I mean this housekeeper is I don’t work. It’s it’s very nice. Super impressed I will definitely come back here!

Rooms are nice and affordable. Major glaring issue that won’t make me come back is, at 4 am there was a fire alarm procted and there was no description or explanation of the situation. The hotel staff had no clue what they were doing and After the alarm was shut off after maybe 20 minutes there was a second fire alarm around 7am and woke people up a second time. There was no reconciliation or reimbursement for disrupting the quality of people’s stay for the night.

Positive: The breakfast was always good. Negative: I asked for housekeeping several times but they didn't respond. Then when I asked for the last time they said because housekeeping hadn't been in and there was so much laundry they wouldn't let me stay for the second booking.

Had a pleasant stay and slept well. Beds appear to be maintained and I was able to get a good night's rest after working all day. Breakfast was ok and better than many places. There were hot scrambled eggs and patty sausages. Followed by the common waffles, cereal and such. Orange juice tasted like water. But, it did look orange. The only real annoyance was the TV. Although it was large and the tv picture was clear, I think it was a display model for a store. There was a box that couldn't be closed and it would switch sides of the screen. Luckily it was limited to only the sides of the screen.

The manager and staff were below professional. I left at 5:30am and came back in at 6:35pm. I had been gone all day. I come in and the staff were playing in each other's hair in the lobby AWAY from the help desk. The manager ran over after I went to the front desk to assist. I asked her why my room had not been cleaned. She looked me in my face and said they only cleaned the check outs. They didn't think I would like the room cleaned. Absolutely never again. I wanted to leave when I first checked in here and the girl came in interrupted me checking in to talk about her boyfriend and family drama but booking.com said they would still charge me for the night. I wished I had checked out this morning and wish I had listened to myself. Terrible I wish I could give a 0. I called booking.com and had them cancel the next 3days. Terrible! Terrible! Stay somewhere else!!!!
