NillI stayed here last week, January 30, 2025. I was heading to Washington from Cali. It was cold, snowy and all I wanted was a hot bath and a comfy bed. This Inn was suggested by my daughter who lived in Or for a few years. I was unexpectedly delighted at this quaint Inn. The main lobby was adorable, cozy and well decorated. Little bikes adorn the mantel and counter. The fireplace was toasty with comfy chairs. And it was super clean. The room was spacious and adorable and very clean. Obviously renovated and redecorated, and well done. (although the large overstuffed chair should be changed) A large bed, great sheets, extra WARM blankets (not the thin cotton ones most hotels have) an adorable vintage style mini fridge and microwave. Lots of space for hanging and drawers. A spacious bathroom and sink area, but with the temps outside being around 32, the tile floor was FREEZING. The room hadn't been heated and was so cold. I turned the heat on and left to get food, hoping it would be warm when I got back. Well, the room was warmer, but the floor was still freezing. And what was worse, the water didn't get hot for a hot bath. But the service and the bed were so amazing, and not only that, I don't ever take advantage of the free breakfasts.. But since I had a long drive to northern Washington, I decided to take advantage of it. Well, I was NOT disappointed. It was AMAZING!! and I'm a food snob, growing up on a farm and having fresh eggs and meat. This breakfast was fresh eggs, sausages, bacon with real cut and fried potatoes and the attendant made fresh waffles while I was making my plate. It would have been a $40 breakfast in Cali!! So worth it!!! So in spite of the tepid water and cold floor, this place deserves a 5 star!!

NillLocation. Location. Location. And free parking within proximity to everything good. Our stay at Timbers Inn included a delicious HOT breakfast prepped by the wonderful staff and free parking: comfort and convenience all rolled into one. Fantastic service staff who are thoughtful about all the things (thanks for a great check-in experience Kate, and for saving our knees with the street-level room): friend and I with our bad knees appreciated not having stairs to climb with our bags. The Inn was close to EVERYTHING -- we walked to the Palace Bakery for morning coffee (or in my case: iced Earl Grey infused with vanilla bean) and savory breakfast breads, then onto the Saturday morning market for some excellent local wares shopping (pottery and leather goods were our focus this time). We heard about a light house on coast, so we drove an hour through some beautiful landscape and hit the stunning coast with views of the iconic lighthouse. Then we did happy hour/dinner at The Davis Restaurant and Bar (reservations via Resy): ordered apps, the shrimp and cheese grits, the Chef's Board, a bottle of champagne and dessert with local friends who joined us. Truly loved the comfortable beds, clean lines of the room with the solid hard wood floors, and sea green glass of the bathroom tile/back splash with the copper shower head and brass fixtures. Unexpected bonus: the white noise created by the fan/heater for falling asleep. Best decision for our visit to Eugene.

NillWow!!! I don’t know how they did it, but somehow they made it modern (but rustic) fancy (but affordable) and clean and comfy!!! It’s walking distance to downtown Eugene bars and restaurants but I never felt like it was too loud. We stayed two nights and were super impressed. Starbucks keurig pods in the room, a real fresh continental breakfast with real eggs (not powdered) and super friendly staff. Wish I could give it six stars!

NillNice interior and clean rooms but I’m leaving here really disappointed. Me and my partner look out for motels and hotels that have breakfast included. Here, the breakfast is advertised from 9am - 11am. So I was surprised to walk in at 9:45 and see all of the food gone and the only people eating were 4 of the cleaning staff. Honestly that’s ridiculous. I’ve worked hospitality before and never ever should that be okay, because I PAID for that breakfast. But the workers got to it before I did. That’s actually awful and I will not be coming back here. It’s one of the reasons we chose this spot. Completely unprofessional all together and I wouldn’t recommend you stay here unless you really could care less about that. Also could not find any information regarding the tv channels, there seems to be no wifi, no map on where the ice was (and for disabled people it’s not fun to go an walk around the whole place looking for it), the bathroom sink would not drain unless I physically pulled the stopper up myself, OH and they don’t leave you cream and sugar with your coffee in the room. Even worse quality motels have those basics. Those are small things, but for this place to be advertised as a slightly higher end motel is crazy. They got a renovation and it’s cute but everything else just sucked. Really upset about my breakfast, and the four cleaning ladies who were literally mowing it all down with no care. Super unprofessional and I will not be back.

NillWe were really impressed with The Timbers! We've been traveling many years, and our room was the cleanest we've ever seen. The room itself looked recently re-decorated and had an Oregon vibe. It was fairly quiet -- this is a motel, with the room doors opening onto the outside, and downtown Eugene is far from peaceful. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. There was even a nice breakfast available in the mornings. The location was very convenient for us, and we'll definitely stay here when we're in town next.

NillThis is everything you don't expect from a drive up motel. The property is decorated with flowers. The rooms are updated and very clean. The lobby is fresh and the breakfast is great. The outside décor is fun; doors of different colors and very helpful people. They have a wine bar and my only complaint, not being from the Oregon area, is that I didn't realize how fast the wine evaporates in that climate. But they were more than happy to refill our glasses when that happens. Well worth the stay.

NillThis is a great find! Rooms are very nicely remodeled. The free breakfast was way better than expected. The main office has beer on tap and wine for purchase. Also the location is perfect!

NillNot a 5-star hotel, but a 5-star experience at this refurbished retro motel. After a long drive from California, it was a nice surprise to arrive and be able to purchase a glass of wine in the cozy lobby, (with a decent selection of wines to choose from). The room is clean and just right - not more than you need, but all the amenities. The ceiling of our 2nd-floor room was nice and high, giving a more spacious feel. I got another pleasant surprise when I turned on the shower and noticed that there were 2 shower heads - a regular hand-held one, and a beautiful large diameter one overhead. Very luxurious. The breakfast was also very good, especially when you would expect an all-packaged/ processed food kind of offering at this kind of motel. Instead, the scrambled eggs are real (not powdered), there is a person in the back actually frying bacon and sausage (we saw her come out with the pan to put it into the buffet warmer), house potatoes, real oatmeal, a waffle maker, and assorted breads. They've done a lovely job renovating the property - colorful flowers are all around the property, so it's very welcoming. This is a family-owned venture where they clearly take pride in their business and in providing for their guests. We used to stay at one of the chain hotels here, but now that we've found this gem, we'll be making this our regular spot.
