Aimees Day At the Beach
NillThis is a creative venue to feed your love of music, food, family, and friends. Locally owned by a wonderful woman who took the venue from a rough and tumble tavern to a whimsical and lovely venue for artisan food and local music, the Drift Inn is a favorite of both locals and visitors, but the wait is worth it. Their menu is wide ranging, with healthy and delicious food options. Check out their beautiful covered outdoor seating, decide on your favorite umbrella, or hand blown lampshade, and get to know your wait staff. The locals can attest that the owner has deep care for her staff, and welcomes visitors to support them as well with built-in gratuity. You are always welcome to tip more however, your care is much appreciated in a small town with limited opportunities.

NillThis place is fantastic. All kinds of rooms to pick from that suit your needs, and they all have their own themes. We love staying there, just my guy and I or with the kiddos and family as well. The restaurant offered an enormous menu of all kinds of items throughout your day. I recommend the smoked salmon Benedict for breakfast. Their pizzas are great. Fish and chips, the pot pie, burgers...chicken, and waffles, and don't overlook the appetizers and dessert menu! It's all very good.

Nillwe were gonna spend the weekend at the coast for lunch, we couldn’t make our mind up where we wanted to go, looked up the driftwood in decided to give it a shot. First appearance we were sort of like maybe maybe not after we decided to give it. A shot we were surprised the service was good. The kids were nice. The food was very good. The calamari the chicken wings, and the pizza. Great margaritas will definitely go back the next time we’re down at the coast.

NillWe didn't stay at the end but we had a great meal at the restaurant. It's a unique beachy place with a great atmosphere. The food is outstanding. If you come to Yachats you need to make time to check this out. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about a mandatory 20% tip included with the bill. It seems a bit undemocratic. And it really tickled me when I saw a line on the bill asking if I would like to leave an additional tip. Nonetheless I like this restaurant.

NillWe did not stay. We ate st the restaurant. Our server Mason was so attentive and super personable. He made a great beer suggestion. The fish and chips and salmon with sorrel sauce was really good. We were passing through and read the mixed reviews and were nervous about dining here. We sat on the patio. Highly recommend. Super cool vibe and still out of the weather.

NillI ate at the restaurant and stayed at the inn. I found the restaurant to be lively, fun and great service. I had the pizza, and it was delicious. I sat at the bar and mingled with others, all who enjoyed their food, too. This is my first time on the Oregon Coast, and so far ALL of the restaurants I have chose to eat at have included 20% service charge so clearly the industry in this area is trying to work together ❤️ My stay was great value too. Overall, it is recommended if you want a unique local experience.

NillFood was 5 stars, service was a 1. The woman serving us was fairly rude, didn’t ask us if we needed anything when she brought our food. Didn’t check on us at all until we were done eating. The food was great but to have an automatic 20% tip on the bill with such rough service was frustrating. The food is good enough where I would go back but absolutely ask for a different server.

NillWe stayed at the Inn for two nights and ate at the restaurant there for a breakfast and dinner. The inn: we stayed in the pedal out rooms, the small hostel-like accommodations. Pros: Very cozy, cute setup. Great lil homebase for sleeping and resting in between outdoor adventures, and it's all located right in the main town area so it's easy to walk to other things nearby. Has everything ya need as a baseline to be comfortable. They make good use of the small room space and include many areas to plug in electronics and such. Bathrooms are nice, showers are solid, and the kitchen includes free coffee which is awesome. Wifi was solid and hosts are responsive. They also have a TV with Roku and a DVD player with DVDs you can use from their library (we didn't use it but it's cool that they have it!). Last thing of note is that I felt my room and the area to be quite secure. Allowed us to adventure worry-free. All in all a stellar spot for coastal adventures especially for that price. Seriously, the price alone makes the cons I note below all very easy to forgive. Cons: YMMV but the mattress in our room could use a refresh. My body was not particularly happy on it. Also, it was a bit of a bummer that there wasn't a common area during our stay. Apparently one with a pool table and air hockey table is under construction which will be very appreciated when completed. I'll also note that the walls are paper thin so sound travels very easily, though ear plugs are a simple fix for that (not even a con really, more just a thing to be aware of as with all hostel-like setups). The restaurant: what a fun, homey, delicious restaurant. I could eat there often. Breakfast was awesome (had the chicken and waffles and partner had the crepes), and dinner was just as solid (had oyster shooters, one of the pizzas and a dessert). The band that played during our dinner was awesome, the wait staff were awesome, great vibes all around. The drinks were great too, solid selection of Oregon stuff and great bartenders (had a arch rock porter on nitro and one of the espresso cocktails). I'll note too my appreciation for their transparency that the gratuity was included. It's communicated at various touch points and the wait staff clarify it as well. Something I noticed and appreciated the care they took on that. Long review but figured the detail would be helpful for someone. Bottom line is I highly recommend. Yachats is a rad place for coastal outdoor adventures and Drift Inn is a prime home base for it all. We will absolutely be back.
