We had originally booked for the sister property of the Holland at the Maverick Inn but were disappointed with the location. We spoke to the person on duty named Rain there at the Holland about switching locations for us because we really didn't feel very safe at the Maverick location and she was wonderful about helping us. Rain was the only person running both hotels by herself and it wasn't slow either! But she took the time to understand our problem and ended up switching our stay over to the Holland. She was great to work with and very kind. As for the accommodations well it's a very old hotel so you have to keep that in mind but it's historical and a very charming hotel. We enjoyed our stay but we did not enjoy the showers. They seemed dirty and they need to be resurfaced asap. You also won't find any restaurant in the hotel or room service. We also didn't have heat in the room as the heater was broken but again Rain to the rescue and she brought us two very good electric space heaters that kept the room warm and toasty. If you're ok with a small room and tv for just a night or two you should be fine but I don't think I personally would stay any longer.

Very good for a 3-star hotel. We arrived after hours but received easy instructions to enter the room. The room was old but had a nice vibe, comfortable bed. No breakfast, only coffee/tea. The selection of tea bags in the morning was a nice added touch.

The Holland is in a great location and the staff is friendly, but not on the premises after 7pm. Check in was at 3, but our room wasn’t ready until 5. Our room was less than desirable. The carpet was dirty, the faucets were water stained, and the baseboards and furniture were dusty. The heat/air did not function properly and squealed non-stop. The electric outlets were few and so worn that chargers barely stayed in. There was no blow dryer in the room. The elevator makes a disturbing noise. There seems to be a lack of care. No, we won’t stay there again.

I loved the downstairs area. Much work has been done to improve the ashetics. The rustic feel at this Hotel is fine, but the rooms should have clean carpets without questionable stains. The parking lot was half open and was horrible to park at. Many patrons had to leave their vehicles parked down the street a block away from the Hotel. There was not breakfast available at this Hotel during my stay. It was highly questionable that the front desk clerk was closed after 7:00 pm. There was a self check in and a self check out. During the day, there was not a person available at the front desk... the Holland Hotel has great potential to be so much more!! I believe that if the room carpets are updated and a desk clerk available would make it wonderful.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the town. Staff was available during the day, and room was well-kept. We were concerned about the potential for noise, but the nearby active railroad was really not much of a problem. The lobby and courtyards were beautiful. Will stay here again next time through.

The room was fine for needing a place to sleep but I would not stay here again. Everything was stained; sheets, carpet, bathroom floor. The sheets were worn which felt kinda gross and the bed was creaky. The lobby is pretty though.

They don't let people use the elevator and it does work. They only let the workers use it...really? Also they need to redo there bathrooms. Fucets with rust and nasty bad tub. The 2 starts it because the sheets and towels smell good and sanitize. Will not stay here again.

Loved this old hotel. The bed could use a new mattress, though. The TV was easy to use, the staff was great. My only concern was that there was no one on duty during the night and the hotel is left unlocked. And the courtyard could use a little TLC.
